I am dying for a cigarette

That's funny, prozac would probably make me want to kill everyone.

I say "want to" optimistically.

It's really not for me. It's for the continued safety of my asshole co-workers.

Check this out. I've been saving a bunch of 1-AD for when I get back into the gym heavily. That stuff makes me nuts and I can only take one every other day or I get way too aggressive. I think it will be interesting to see what my female friends think of it when it gets sprung on them.

If I had a girlfriend right now I'd probably suck the taste off her pussy. Then I'd just be even more addicted to oral sex with women. What good would that do me?

Well, hell...

I started back smoking 6 months ago after being clean for over ten years...of course it is when my SO walked out.. and the pain just blew me to bits. Then the stress of finding and buying a new house.. getting it rehabbed in short order and getting moved...more stress.

I've promised myself that i'll go cold turkey the day i move into my new house... which is Saturday!! So Betticus...I'm with you body and soul.

And if you need a beautiful woman to suck off to counter your cravings, I volunteer...you can light me up and that should be just what i need to keep me from lighting up :)

Texas isn't that far away :D

Ahhh, that would explain the baldness then.

Nah, I started thinning when I was about 29 or so and that was before I ever touched anything like a steroid precursor. We do have some guys here that go over to Mexico and get shot up once a week or so but they are getting really fucked up looking skin.

I actually do have hair up top but I prefer to shave.

I want to quit smoking now but of course free the weight gain issue that you always hear about. That licorice idea is great! Does it come in sugar free?

I dunno. I bet those places that stock food for diabetics would have it, if a regular store doesn't. A great place to find out where those stores are is the hospital. Quite often they're IN the hospital.

I don't know bro, I wouldn't mess with anything that gives women chest hair.

You really have to watch out for sugar free stuff. Go by the carbohydrate content and beware of anything in the ingredient list that ends in "ose" and "ol".

Like, sucrose or malitol. Those are both types of sugars but because of the FDA rules currently don't have to be listed as "sugar".

Okay, so far today is day seven. I owe myself 35 bucks.

I'm still dying for a cigarette but now it is more like I'm remembering the urge to smoke vs. really feeling the need to power smoke half a pack right now!

I'll have one for you...
Sorry, the best I ever made was 12 weeks.
Keep up the good work.Imagine how nice it will be to smell and taste things again, and not to mention smell nicer yourself.

Good point. Since I love sugah and don't really ever diet, I didn't know that!

Ooooo would you have one for me too please??? It's been a long day and I could use one but payday isn't until wed. and none of my friends are around to bum one off of. Besides I'va actually managed to quit so as much as I long for one at times I only very, very, very, very, very, very, rarely allow myself to indulge in one.

Ooooooo if I get spanks for letting someone else do my smoking I'll just have to pass all of them off to someone else from now on! hehehe....careful I am in a silly mood tonight, might be dangerous.

Somehow I don't think that would be a deterrent...but thank you for the kind thought.
I once had a sub that was cutting back on smoking. At the time, she didn't really want to quit, just not smoke two packs a day.

We found she didn't really smoke two packs as much as she would light them up and let them sit in the ashtray and burn away. Oh, she did smoke some of them, but her two pack a day habit was misleading.

Anyway, we devised a punishment process for her and it did work, at least in her case. Now, I don't think it would work in every case, as everybody is different, and some are more pain sluts that others.

Pain and humiliation were the key factors in this process. She is a rather sophisticated lady (in many ways the pearl necklace and high heels Corp woman sophisticated) and humiliation is especially difficult for her to take. But, she was a good trouper and stuck to her part of the bargain.

Each week we set a goal for her and if she smoked more than that goal, she was punished. And, if she stayed within her set goal, she was also rewarded. I decided what the punishment would be. Each time it was somehow worse than the time before, and the humiliation factor escalated along with that.

I won't go into details in this post, but with simple intimidation and actual humiliation and punishment, she did quite well in cutting back. Like I said, at the time she didn't want to go as far as quitting, so I don't know if our punishments would have worked to that extent, but it was not only fun for me, but also satisfying to see it working like we had hoped it would.

Keep in mind that this mainly helped her realize she wasn't smoking as much as she thought, and when she was smoking, it was more from a habit point of view than a real need for nicotine. I don't think this would work for everybody, but I know there are those out there who light up at specific times when they have no real desire to smoke, but do so from a habit they've developed over the years.

I will mention one thing I often told her, when I would talk to her. When she told me she was smoking more than she should and I knew she needed a little reinforcement to her will, I would tell her to think of the red glow that comes from a cigarette, when she lights one up. I also mentioned the smoke that also comes from that red glow. Then, I told her I would do my best to make her butt glow the same way, and maybe even smoke as much, too, if she smoked more cigarettes than she should.

No, it's not a realistic threat, but because she would see the glow from each cigarette she would light up, it would remind her of the consequences she would be bringing upon herself, by doing so. And, she did say the graphic nature of my threat did have an impact, even though she knew I couldn't be that brutal. And, she said the thought of her ass smoking from a spanking was "a nice touch" on my part. :D

Although she didn't want to quit completely when we were together, she did finally quit smoking on her own. She became a grandmother a third time, and I think she decided she would like to be a grandmother for a while longer.

As I said in another post, she used a series of filters that decrease the tars and nicotine you inhale with each stage. She said she tried smoking a cigarette without a filter and it almost killed her, she coughed so much.

I'll let her tell you in her own words, from an email she once sent me.
---------

The filters do work, if you want them to. They're called "One Step at a Time" and they come in a pkg of 4 - each one reduces the amount of nicotine, tar, etc. by 25%, 50%, 70 or 75%, and 90%. Just the process of cleaning out the gunk that collects in the filter is enough to make you never want to smoke anything without one again - yuck!

You can have a pharmacist order this for you - they don't usually carry them on hand - but it doesn't require a prescription. Cost is approx. $12-13 for a set of 4. I blew right through the lower 3 in less than the 2 week time recommended, and just stuck with the 90% reduction, and am still using that when I do the light up and hold.

---------

They are quite cheap in cost, especially if they help someone quit smoking. Even if you have to buy several filter sets and quit slower than recommended pace, I think it seems quite cost effective and worth a try, even if only to help someone cut down on their smoking.

And, there's always a disclaimer...
We're all different, so something that works for one isn't always going to work for everybody. I say this because if anyone tries this method and it doesn't work...I don't want them to get discouraged and not continue to look for another way to stop. But, this one seems so easy and so cheap, I thought I'd pass it along.

Playing on lit, drinking coffee, just lit up and thought...mmm... i wonder how B is going with the quitting....all very quiet in here.

I haven't taken even a token puff since I quit. 11 days now. I still want a cigarette but there is something that I do.

When that craving starts to get to the point where I am actually thinking about or imagining smoking a cigarette I take a series of very deep breaths.

The feeling of filling my lungs with fresh, clean air and stretching my lungs out a little is a good reminder of the benefits of not smoking. I couldn't do this before without coughing.

The other thing is that there is stuff coming out of my lungs. Nasty stuff. I don't like it. It's icky.

And it tastes foul too.Your villi on your airways are actually working again and bringing all that mucus up and out like they are sposed to.
Your tastebuds should be recovering now too.
And doesnt everything smell better? ok so thats not always a good thing.
Keep up the good work.

K's been smoking since he was 12, and he's 36 now. He can't smell anything, he has to put a TON of salt on his food. And he can't sneak up on me, cause I always hear him either coughing or clearing his throat. I'd like him to quit, but I don't see the point till he actually wants to. And that's normally the reason people have trouble smoking is that somewhere they enjoy something about it still. Even if it's just the "I'm being bad" feeling.

The deep breaths are a good thing to be doing at that point. When you feel the urge to smoke, you are reminding yourself why you started this in the first place. That's very smart. And, it's impressive that you are already noticing the benefits. That's great.

Back when I was younger (70s and 80s) and had quite a few friends that smoked, they called that icky stuff lung cookies. We were all just kids and they didn't always have the money to by cigarettes. They would sometimes go for a while without smoking.

They would all comment on the lung cookie stage as being without a cigarette for too long. It's all of the tars and shit that your body is now expelling in its repair of your lungs. Back then, they saw it as a bad thing. Actually, it's a very good thing.

Isn't this all great? I'm amazed at how quickly the body gets to work repairing things. I think it's all quite fasinating. I guess you can tell. Sorry.
