FINALLY!!!!! Those of you who know me know that it has been a long and frustrating road to get here...

I had my divorce hearing Thursday- a default judgment since my ex would not sign the papers. I told him it would happen with or without his signature, so after going back and forth for six months I finally said "fuck it"and went ahead with the hearing. I haven't told him yet; he will get the papers in the mail.

I'm sure I'll get bashed for being happy about my divorce, but if you know me, you know what I went through and would understand. And it's not so much that I'm HAPPY about it as I am relieved that it's finally over and I can move on with my life. (Which I HAVE!!!) I just wanted to share the good news with my Lit friends

I understand what you mean and this whole ordeal made me evaulate things and learn from my mistakes. All the red flags that I should have paid attention to instead of turning a blind eye because I was "in love." I wholeheartedly believe in marriage and what it represents, I was just careless in choosing my partner.

I wouldn't worry about not being ready for marriage again- it may not be the right thing for you. But if it does happen, you'll KNOW it- as I'm sure I'll know it too

There are several reasons, but mine was pretty reasonable as we did not have any children or property to fight over.
