I admit that I am a shallow person - does that make me a bad person?

Works well when you have both things going for you, though doesn't it! Being both attractive and intelligent!:p :p

There is nothing shallow about that. Everyone has a type that attracts them, that's just a fact of life.
 
Interesting though, one can become very attatched to an on line person, without ever seeing their physical appearance. People have fallen in love that way withou the distraction of the normal attractions.
 
Shallow not bad...boring and closeminded bad... which you are neither. Some of use are just more visually oriented....:p

For me, it's a sliding scale. At one end is the person who is so incredibly physically attractive that he/she could have mush for brains and I'd still be unable to resist them. At the other end is the person who is so incredibly charismatic, intelligent, witty, and sexy (personality-wise) that even facial boils and extra limbs would not prevent me from considering getting down with them.

Most people lie somewhere in the middle. Good looks are physical, but sexy isn't - it's a complex mixture of looks, personality, charisma, etc. Some of the sexiest people I've met are not the most photogenic.

Being shallow doesn't make you "bad."

I'd like to hope that shallow people stick with other shallow people though. That would cause less pain for the rest of us.
