It’s an old ringer washing machine....my mom had one...it was a Speed Queen brand....we did not have a dryer...hung the clothes outside on pulley lines on a nice day...

Went to a party not that long ago and the owner of the house had one of those new Arcade1UP Tron machines. I guess she acquired it from someone because she, along with many of the younger people there, didn't know what Tron was. So I had a "gather 'round kids and let me spin you a tale" moment. I remember when Tron first came out and it was the most amazing thing ever. And sweet lord almighty do I ever want one of these. View attachment 2222441

Looks like my part of the world skipped those, we went from reels straight to more or less modern cassettes.

My mom told me she used to have to put a key in the steering wheel arm and turn it to make her car start. How primative.

But did she also have to push in a pedal and move a lever on the steering wheel column to put it into gear? And constantly switch between different gears depending on speed and conditions? Ah, those were the days. Lol

They were noisy and would slow way down going up hills then go really fast when you’re going down hill.
