Looks like my part of the world skipped those, we went from reels straight to more or less modern cassettes.Those were good ol 8 track tapes. Horrible things, but at least you could play tunes in the car!
But did she also have to push in a pedal and move a lever on the steering wheel column to put it into gear? And constantly switch between different gears depending on speed and conditions? Ah, those were the days. LolMy mom told me she used to have to put a key in the steering wheel arm and turn it to make her car start. How primative.
