Huzzah! I can now have an avatar! Now what?

So I'm up over the magic threshold and can post my very own custom AV.

But now I'm stuck for ideas. I hate when that happens.

How large should it be, and what do you recommend. If there's anyone who's been readin my posts, what kind of ideas do you have for me?

I'm now officially struck dumb for ideas and sucking wind. I hate when this happens. I was fine a few weeks ago, anticipating this. Now? Nothing. :-(

I would suggest something with style, perhaps? But something that reflects something about you, of course. My avatar is a perfect example of that: combined with a certain elegance?

Unfortunately, contrary to popular male culture, size does matter and is this case, it can be no larger than 150 pixells by 150

Relax.

Just cuz you CAN have an av now doesn't mean you should just toss something up there.

Think about who you are when you come here, who you want to be, what you hope people see in you. Do a google search with all the words as the parameters. If you don't get anything useful, delete a few words and try again.

You're a jazz guy.
Pick a song you especially like and find an av that represents that song.

If you're really stuck and want something up there *now*, dammit, pick the likeness of one of the jazz greats... for now.

Don't sweat it. If you're like most of the rest of us, in no time you'll have a whole bunch of avs that you swap in and out according to mood.

Trya a google image search for something you are interestd in, then crop and re3size to fit. If you cant do that , post the pic and someone will help you out.

I've done some browsing, and I found this particular image. It's not perfect but, lacking the photo processing software, it'sll work just fine.

As cym said, I'm sure I'll have all sorts of avatars. But this one, for a start, is just fine.

He's playing my instrument of choice, in a pose I've been teased about when I play. In time, I'll want something with a bit more pop to it, but this is good.

Nessus, I'd love any help you'd be willing to provide. Advice, suggestions, whatever. PM me whenever you wish.
