My thoughts are that Joe knows he's done and his handlers know he's done so there's really only 1 thing left for him to do with Hunter.
He'll pardon him right before the door slams on Joe's ass as he leaves the WH. He'll do it early so that Kammie can pardon him while he's walking to the car.

Interesting thing about pleading the 5th. It only protects you from being compelled to speak about the things you've done.
It doesn't apply to you being required to speak about the things you've observed someone else do. So...
1. Corporations are legal entities in their own right. That means the shell companies aren't Hunter and don't come under the protections of Hunter's 5th Amendment right.
2. This is an impeachment inquiry against Joe Biden. As a percipient witness Hunter cannot hide Joe's actions behind Hunter's own 5th Amendment protections.
3. There will be additional evidence and information gleaned from the depo in regards to who else (if anyone) is/was involved and what their involvement was. I'm thinking somewhere in there Hunter's Hollywood sugar daddy is going to be mentioned.

This is the only option they have. They'll have to wait until it's too late to impeach Joe before he's out of the WH though so Hunter might spend some time in the pokey.

There is nothing stopping Biden’s DOJ from indicting them, except possibly a lack of evidence of any crimes. The Democratic-controlled Senate doesn’t seem terribly interested in pursuing any criminal investigation either.
