Humble yourself.

Did you start walking upright? Are you responsible for the oxygen content in the atmosphere? Did you fill up the ocean you jet ski on? Or did you let evolution, three billion year old microbial bacteria and water-laden comets do the job for you?

Think about it!

Indeed.

The point I was wanting to put across with this thread is that despite how superior some people think they are, they live within an an interconnected, interdependent matrix in which all have a place and a role within.

Even the destitute have a place and a role pithing the Matrix...

So, should we stop throwing resources at them?

There will be poor always, pathetically struggling - Look at the good things you've got!

I meant to post more in this thread but I got dragged away.

This thread was just an attempt at making a thought provoking point about how most of us like to think we are masters of our life and destiny but in reality most of us just meander through taking EVERYTHING for granted.

Even the basic necessities of life, clothes, shelter, food and drink wouldn't be so plentiful and accessible to us all if their wasn't a capitalist profit motive to provide it, but at the same time if it wasn't for workers these things couldn't be produced.

This is something that people on both sides of the ideological divide would do well to have a think about.

Nonsense. Division of labor existed 1000s of years prior to the rise of Capitalism.

Think about it or don't think about it

Did you make the clothes you're wearing? did you build the house you're in right now? what about your food and water, could you obtain these independently?

You have a think about all that now.

In reality whether your think about it or not the answers to those questions are significant. Most people are unable to care for themselves independent of a system of support that they have been born into.

That system is on the verge of global collapse and when the honest answer to those questions is answered by circumstances it will be very humiliating for the haughty of this world.

It is coming to a planet near you.

Those are the only two options?

Did you start walking upright? Are you responsible for the oxygen content in the atmosphere? Did you fill up the ocean you jet ski on? Or did you let evolution, three billion year old microbial bacteria and water-laden comets do the job for you?

Think about it!

You offer to absurd concepts and ask people to think about which one is correct? But then again what would you expect from someone that thinks they are the accidental result of bacteria.

This is why Dusty Hill and Perg gave up and died.

I’m waiting for the sea level to rise.
