When I was a kid, I was shown how to curtsey. The key was to spread the knees as you lowered yourself, keeping your trunk straight up vertical.
Your legs spread, and If you were wearing a (nice voluminous) skirt, you lifted the sides up with your hands keeping the bottom off the floor.
When I hit puberty, this became a sexually suggestive position, presenting your bottom to the person(s) you were addressing.
Further thought about gender -- ladies curtseyed and men bowed, presenting a nice penetratable ass.
A honoring a monarch or lord with by bowing or curtseying, could also acknowledge them as having Droit du seigneur (right of the lord) or jus primae noctis (right of the first night) which allowed a feudal lords to have sexual relations with subjects.
(There are many references to the alleged custom throughout the centuries but there is little evidence that it actually existed.)
Google-ing for curtsey, all the videos show ladies doing a modified bow knees together, bottom not exposed. Politically correct, probably since midieval times.
So does this sexually suggestive practice exist anywhere?
