Humans are the Alien Creatures

Noel laughed. "No the female can not conceive more then once. However humans enjoy the pleasure from breeding that they mate often. "

The worker looked horrified and the assistant scoffed the idea.

"Humans need vital contact with their mates in order to produce young. In five months the female will double in the middle before miraculously bearing her offspring in miniature form." Noel educated the pair.

"It doesn't sound pleasurable, the way the female wails. She sounds like she's in pain." The worker said, backing away, not wanting any more to do with it and went back to work.

Noel's assistant looked on, rubbing his chin in consideration. "It seems so... Inefficient, making only one, maybe two young at a time. And she won't be as able to care for herself if she doubles in the middle. And their young will be born helpless? Its a wonder that any of them can survive on their own, out in the wild."

Noel smirked. "You forget the humans are a mated pair. The male will protect her against harm. The small animal she keeps will also protect her from harm. The shelter keeps them safe. The female will bare her young and care for it until it reaches am age to care for itself. In this female's life she could have ten or more young. Currently she carries two.. the university wants one for study. It is sad as it will be very helpless at birth unless they age it."

Daylight came as usual and Noel gave the other assistant directions on how to act around the male. "The male is very intelligent. He can be taught to use tools to improve their lives. I'm not happy about some of the native creatures that have been included in the enclosure. Some are familiar to the terrain the female lived in where the male is unwise in exposure to these animals."

When Blue woke, he gently rubbed Gaia's back until she woke as well, he kissed her and hugged her before letting her get up. They shared a nice breakfast together before he headed out to meet the keepers and learn from them. "I've come, alone, as promised." He said, standing before them, with his hands out in front of him. "What is it you have to show me?"

Gaia watched Blue Eyes go to the west. It bothered her not to go too but she was going to make bread which would preoccupy her time.

Boy wasnt under restrictions and happily went out with Blue Eyes. Along the way Boy scared off the spine birds and caught a fuzzy vole. Boy brought it with him to play with and showed it off to Blue Eyes before chasing fluttery bugs.

Noel waved at Blue Eyes as he came into view.. "glad you could make it here. Do you have questions?"

The two students were busy drawing Blue Eyes' physical appearance. One being better skilled had several profiles before bringing up the tray of items from the original site. They had no clue what some were. A hammer, a monkey wrench, a rubik cube, a tea pot, and two cake pans. One circular and the second like a heart.

"Come human." Noel pointed at the items. "Do you know these things and their purpose?"

"Good boy! Keep those nasty birds away!" Blue praised Boy and patted him on the head as the came up to where Noel and his assistants waited. Blue waved back, still not sure what to make of Noel. He looked at the assistants who seemed to be weary of him, like they were in a room with a tiger. "When I say I will do something, I do it. Yes, why are they so frightened? Do I scare them?" Blue asked, looking at the tray full of items the other assistant brought him.

"Oh, yes, tools, a toy and some cooking pots and pans. We need this king of stuff to thrive, make our own structures and food stuff. The toy is important too, it's to keep our minds sharp." He picked it up and started turning it. "See, you have to get the colors back to all on color on each side... Very tricky." He folded with it for a moment before tossing it to Noel. "Here, you try." He said, having never liked those sort of puzzles himself.

Blue went to the hammer and wrench next, showing them how they would be used if he had some nails or bolts. "For constructing things, keeping wood and other material down, in place and held together. How do you construct things?" He asked, hoping that if he showed interest they might show him some more of their magic devices.

"And these, Gaia could use to make food and hot drinks with. Do we get to keep them?" Blue asked, hopeful.

Noel was impressed with the comprehension the human displays. Next the assistant brings. Seeds, a towel, a glass box, and a square metal rock. "What would you make?"

Noel pays attention to detail. Each movement exposed a side odin trust building between them.

The assistants whisper to each other as what did Noel expect him to do with those archaic devices.

Blue took the glass box and scooped up some soft earth with it and poked a hand full of seeds into the damp soil.

He took the towel and damped it down, rolled it up and draped it over his shoulder, to keep himself cool in the heat of the day.

Then he examined the metal rock, turning it over and over in his hands. "Need fire, melt down, make tools with." He set it down with the other tools and returned to Noel.

"More?" He asked, glancing back at the assistants.

Noel nodded and took the rock setting the glass box on top if it. The stone changed to soft orange and the seeds starts growing. In three minutes the plants grow into miniature. Orange trees..Noel shows Blue Eyes that the damp towel keeps it moist on the blooms that become fruit.

"This can help hatch bird eggs." Noel instructed. He knew the female would use it once she figured out which birds to trust.

Next Noel gave Blue Eyes a grey stick with a green gem at one end. Next he held out a green metallic band that would fit his wrist..

Blue Eyes would notice that Noel and his assistants wear a similar band.

"Oh, hmm, magic stone." Blue said, impressed with how Noel used the items. "Never would have guessed. This will please Gaia, much!" He touched the growing fruits, wondering how they could go from seed to fruit so fast. "How do they taste?" He asked, curious if they could have any flavor at all, having grown so fast.

The stick that Noel took out next drew Blue's attention away from the growing fruit. "What are these?" Blue asked, unsure what to make of the items Noel was showing him. "Identification?" He asked, guessing.

"They taste good but they need constant care. If removed from the glass the plant will get. Bigger. The glass keeps them small and the stone gives warmth and growth." Noel explained.

Noel watches Blue Eyes wield the shock stick. So far Blue Eyes manages not to stab himself or send shock waves up his spine. The band Blue Eyes called identification. So the band must be linked to the stick and won't shock the wielder. "Very interesting."

The assistants were impressed with this new knowledge..

Next a wooden pair of circles held together by another dowel and a colored cord. An old fashioned toy that was used by children during the first recorded depression of the 20th century.

Next to the yo-yo was plastic animals with a large brown plastic boat. Two of each: hippos, rhinoceros, elephants, horses, cows, doves, camels, pink pigs, sheep, goats, alligators, bears, and monkeys.

Blue shrugged, not knowing what the stick was, but setting it down the the rest of the things the alien's had showed him. Were all these things made by human's? Some of them seemed just as magical as the alien's own devices.

He moved on to the next batch of stuff.

Blue picked up the yo-yo and nearly dropped it, but when he tugged at the string, it shot back up into his hand. He was impressed by it and laughed, giving it a couple more tries, figuring it out.

He quickly got bored with it though and set it down.

"Animals, from earth, ark, build to save them from a great flood, like the arks build to take humans into the stars, long ago." Blue related what he knew of the ship and its figures.

Noel nodded and pats Blue Eyes' shoulder. "Of all you have seen. If you were allowed to keep three things which would you choose for yourself and which for your female?"

His helpers nodded and placed bets on which items he'd choose for himself.

Boy came back to Blue Eyes with his fuzzy creature and sticky pieces of honeycomb in his fur.

"Keep the growing box and tools." Blue said, sure of himself. "Good for food and shelter. Make things easier."

Blue reached down and began petting Boy as he came to his side. "What did you find, Boy?" He asked, getting the beast excited.

Noel nods "and which ones for the female?"

Noel notices the animal and how it went to Blue Eyes. He made notes on the friendliness of the creature and more study needed.

Boy was not happy as the sticky sweet caused bugs to swarm him and bite. Now the poor creature had large red spots with grey goo dribbling out.

The assistants quickly rose and fired a golden stream of light at the Yar Jah Ken. The animal yelped in pain but dropped to the ground. His spikes opened and Noel came closer to investigate..

Boy dropped his fuzzy vole that scurried out of sight while Noel and his assistant removed the animal's discomfort..

Noel had gloves and an odd looking set of tweezers. Each nub of silver was placed in a white box. Noel gives Blue Eyes a quick lesson. "Each spot has an egg within an acid. The spot burns until the egg hatches. The egg looks like a grey circle with a tiny star on the left. The egg matures in six days and you have another Kocani Wasp. Which makes the sticky webbing holders of sweeten nectar. Earlier humans called it Honnee"

The assistant removes the honeycomb and cleans off the fur and extracts the baby wasps from the webbing holders. Now Blue has a container with six pieces of honeycomb.

Blue scratched his head, surprised that they were letting him take more of the items. He thought what he picked was for them both. He shrugged and pointed at the grey/green stick and bracelet, wondering what it did still, and debated between the yo-yo and the rubix cube. He thought that the cube would be better for Gaia to play with, so he took that.

"Easy Boy..." Blue started to say, seeing the mess that was caught in his fur, but then one of the assistance SHOT him!

"Hey!" Blue shouted, ready to attack the assistant, but Noel calmly walked over to Boy and checked him over. Blue went over next to him, muscles twitching. "Boy?" He asked, patting the beasts neck. He was still alive, just stunned apparently. The three aliens began working out the matted bits of honey comb from his fur and Blue quickly realized they were helping, so he let them be.

Noel showed him a squirmy little silver thing he'd picked out of Boy's fur before putting it in a white box. "Bugs. Larvae." Blue nodded, curling his lip up in mild disgust. "Honey?" Blue asked, now interested in them, licking his lips. "Try?" He asked, looking for a bit of the golden sweetness to sample. They had sealed it up in the white box, but put it with the other things that they were apparently going to let him keep.

"Good." He said, standing with a smile. "Good deal." He added, turning to Noel and giving him a sudden hug. "Friend." He stated, letting go.

It didn't take long to extract all the wasps from boy's skin. The assistant that fired the beam was rubbing liquid over each spot sealing it from further infection.

The second assistant handed Blue Eyes the piece he intended on having himself. It looked like a star shaped piece of golden liquid. It was a divine sweet treat enjoyed by creatures of many species.

Noel was surprised by the hug. Now he showed Blue Eyes the secret of the white box. "The 'bugs' will grow to wasps but this is home.."

Noel pulled out the legs and gave Blue Eyes some green seeds. "Plant these in glass box. Take out and plant outside. Put the bug home near those flowers and they will make more honee.. after four days pull out this wall and take honee out."

Demonstrating how to work the hive safely. Noel gave Blue Eyes some one last gift. An item from Gaia's tribe. A slider box which had a harness for Boy to wear and pull it along. The runners made from 'black ice' allows it to move over all terrain.

"Thank you for all your gifts, Noel. I will do as you have asked."Blue replied, giving him a bow. "Your generosity is great, thank you."

He went over to check on boy and patted his neck. "How soon will boy be able to move?" He asked Noel, looking up as he took a tentative taste of the honey the assistant had given him. He liked it and took another bite, but gaved a small bit to Boy to eat, after all he went through, he deserved a treat too.

Noel gave Boy a shot that helped the beams effect wear off. "Not long. Though there is another question. Why the cube and not the ship with an a mals?"

Both assistants were curious why Noel cared about the choices.

Noel was under the impression. That the toy was an ark to save animals and the ship that bought humans was like an ark. Wouldn't the toy teach history to his offspring?
`~~```~~~~~~~~~

Gaia was working on the furs of the creatures Blue Eyes saved her from. She felt a sharp pain in her leg. Gaia turned and looked seeing the lizard. Her heart froze as it was a small replica of the ones that would bring death to her village.

A worker spotted the attack and radioed Noel. "Female under attack by gllad beast."

Blue looked back at the boat and scratched his head. "Good point, don't think Gaia even knows where we came from. Can I change my mind?" He asked, offering the cube back, in exchange for the toy ark.

"Female... Under... Attack?!" Blue repeated, overhearing the radio message. He about went into a panic and went racing back toward the cave, having no idea what he was going to run into, but ready to tear it apart, with his bare hands, if he had to, to keep Gaia safe.

The assistant handed Blue Eyes the ark after putting the animals inside. "A gift to her breeding offspring."

When Noel heard the message he tapped his star in the coat and vanished. The gllad was one of the biggest threats to all creatures and now it was running wild. Noel was going to report this outrage to the university.

When he appeared Gaia had stabbed the lizard in the eye with a claw and was trying to make for the door. Noel used his stealth mode and went invisible hoping to approach undetected and give Gaia the chance to get inside.

The gllad was going towards Gaia for another bite when Blue Eyes and the Yarjahken came charging in. Boy lunged at the neck as Gaia fell backwards away from another attack. Noel remained silent and observed how the three worked to end the threat.

Gaia rolled to the left to stay out of the way and banged into a leg. please don't scream.

"Get em, Boy!" Blue shouted as they flanked the ugly lizard, already seeping blood and other fluids from a ruined eye. He had the stick with the green tip in his hand, ready to club the beast to death if Boy could keep it off of Gaia and away from him.

"Keep it away from Gaia!" He called out to Boy as he looked for an opening. The spines on the lizards back prevented him from having a good shot at clubbing it, but in his frustration, his grip on the baton tightened and triggered a spark at the green end of it.

He jumped, startled by the sparks that crackled at the end, eying it with fear and wonder. "More magic!" He exclaimed as the Lizard whipped its tail at his legs. He jumped back with a yelp and swung out with the sparking stick, touching the tail as it swished past his leg.

The lizard froze up and let out a pained yowl, being shocked by the spark stick.

Gaia looked up and saw nothing but instead of screaming she whirled her arm back and stabbed Noel in the calf with the bloodied claw. Gaia didn't see anything but pulling away the claw she saw the aqua colored blood coating the orange of the lizard.

Gaia gasps when she saw the green light roll up the lizard and it fell to the ground. Gaia looked at the stick amazed as it fit the description of the miracle stick from stories she had heard from her elders.

Boy not happy the battle was over still attacked the trembling legs. Boy managed to maul the feet so the beast couldn't sneak back.

"Boy.. keel.. na ated..ba ad ma eat... mack d eye." Gaia warned off Boy from enjoying the final rewards.

The creature snuffed before letting out its last breath. Gaia looked at Blue Eyes and felt awful about getting hurt and not staying in the home like she thought he meant when she couldn't go with.

"Gaia!" Blue shouted, looking up from the felled lizard beast. He dashed to her and went down on his knees, hard, dropping the spark stick as he tentatively touched her wounded leg. He looked at the bleeding wound and gasped. "Lizard... Poisonous?" He asked her, worry in his voice as he tried to stop the bleeding.

"Eet ba ad.. weel leek." Gaia knew what to expect. "Som dem ees heer."

Gaia put her arms around Blue Eyes' neck. "Gao een sigh did."

Boy caught Noel's scent and begin yapping at air. This bothered Gaia more and she pointed at the door.
