I think it's scary for people to talk about feelings. It scares me, anyway. It's hard to know what to say. If someone is feeling low, you want to help, but it's hard to know how.

Actually, I just realized I've been watching a BBC series set in Victorian times. So, one thing I know is that I LOVE Victorian dresses!!

So this is why my ears were tingling as I slumbered. Good morning. Coffee, anyone? I’m making pour overs.

As a philosopher king, I am well equipped to handle these kinds of dilemas. Let us begin.

1. “ I’m never going to be good enough for you, am I?”

2. “What is wrong with you?!”

In my experience, the person posing the question already knows the answer(s).

I pose question #2 only because most or all of us have been asked that question by someone at some point in our lives.
It is a non-question and is often asked by a person in a presumed position of power. It is a statement that transmits the speaker dislikes what you may have done, and passive-aggressive in nature.

Question #1 comes at it, it being “the truth”, through the back door, if you will. It too has passivity and a tad less aggression, but both still lie in the asking. To put forth an answer to #1 will put the respondent on defense unless they say something like, “Yes. You are a bag of shit and you will never be good enough for me.” Game over. A defensive and backtracking answer confirms the asker’s assumption. Your move.

The truth may set you free, but first it will piss you off. My 2¢. Thoughts?

I've always been a sucker for the film noir fashions of the 1940's.
I'm also a little biased because the hot English teacher at the high school I work at was wearing a dress with a 40's vintage cut yesterday, similar to the one in the last picture.
