Ah everyone stops chatting if I post anything related to feelings? The thread ground to a halt when I was quite expressive a bit ago
I’d much prefer everyone to still chat, but should it be a non feelings thread lol? I’ll remove the above if so, so that the sex/ philosophy/ politics/ culture/ sex/ sports/ sex / etc/ sex can continue

Blame it on male density, perhaps, but I was merely waiting on your response and giving you some space. Everyone handles pain differently and it's not uncommon for many to need alone time. Perhaps a bad assumption though.

That, and being new here, it would be quite forward of me to try sampling the Alchemist's most pleasing elixir, as tempting as that truly is, without royal consent.

These things are all areas where the Queen's guidance are splendid guardrails to prevent onerous behavior.

I’m gonna remove that post if expressing feelings gets that kinda response it’s just got from Simon
Thought we were all friends here, and that’s the atmosphere I think we’ve tried to create, but that’s just left me feeling needlessly attacked for daring to express feelings
But I do like to hear honest opinions, so please do tell me if you disagree

As a philosopher king, I am well equipped to handle these kinds of dilemas. Let us begin.

1. “ I’m never going to be good enough for you, am I?”

2. “What is wrong with you?!”

In my experience, the person posing the question already knows the answer(s).

I pose question #2 only because most or all of us have been asked that question by someone at some point in our lives.
It is a non-question and is often asked by a person in a presumed position of power. It is a statement that transmits the speaker dislikes what you may have done, and passive-aggressive in nature.

Question #1 comes at it, it being “the truth”, through the back door, if you will. It too has passivity and a tad less aggression, but both still lie in the asking. To put forth an answer to #1 will put the respondent on defense unless they say something like, “Yes. You are a bag of shit and you will never be good enough for me.” Game over. A defensive and backtracking answer confirms the asker’s assumption. Your move.

The truth may set you free, but first it will piss you off. My 2¢. Thoughts?

And just to correct a mistaken assumption there - when I ask a question, it’s because I want to understand something or someone better, and don’t know their view or perspective on the answer
And I don’t ask such a question rhetorically via a gif
But if I was to ask that question, you are correct in that yes, I would know the answer - yes, I am good enough
Though since you lacked empathy as well as having had a flawed initial premise, I can’t give you the position of philosopher king
Perhaps you were actually the cup-bearer though, and handed me a poison chalice?
