if I guy has hpv, can he get cancer too? Or is that just in chicks?

he can carry it and infect his wife or partner, but he cant get cervical cancer.

Men dont have cervixes

He could, possibly, develop penis cancer. Logically speaking, the link between circumcision and development of penis cancer could be attributed to the fact that the foreskin can be a breeding ground for HPV (available mucous membranes and the skin could possibly act as a barrier to early detection of those bothersome genital warts). A circumcised penis doesn't have the available skin mass for ready infection, and any visible signs of infection can be easily detedted and dealt with prior to metastasis.

THANK YOU! Was that so hard you other fucking scumsuckers?

What about other cancers and HPV?

Many anal cancers are caused by the same types of genital HPV that cause cervical cancer. A little less than half of cancers of the vulva are HPV-related. Several other genital cancers (cancers of the penis, vagina, and urethra) and some head and neck cancers (specifically of the tongue and tonsils) may be related to the high-risk types of HPV. Also, a high portion of skin cancers in people with weakened immune systems might be related to this virus.

Why dont they vaccinate men then?

Io mean if you can get other cancers from it, why would they deny males the vaccine?

Im not debating or questioning your answer at all, but it would seem unfair to deny them

probably for the same reason they don't give it to 30 years women.

Yes, men can get cancer from HPV.

The vaccine just has not been tested on men yet, I'm sure eventually...if they keep using it...men will be able to get it.

HPV, when it reaches the wart stage, is readily visible and/or tactile on the male organ. Now, without the benefit of modern equipment, examine the inside of another woman's vaginal canal. Remembering, of course, that most genital warts are essentially invisible within the female body (outer warts contain melanin, internal warts grow without the benefit of leaching melanin from the skin, leading to an almost invisible mass).

You seem to know a lot about this subject. So at the wart stage what are the chances of cervical cancer, sterilization (male/female), or any other problems a male or female can suffer from.

I don't know much about STDs as I have been with the same person for many. many. many years. I always thought that warts were just warts, now I hear it is HPV. I know I can Google it but you seem to have knowledge about the subject.

The warts damage cellular DNA, leading to pre-cancerous growths, leading to cancer cells. In men, as I said before, the warts are easily treated. In women, however, the warts can lay inside of the vagina and go unnoticed for decades. The lapse of time can be fatal. After all, your immune system weakens as you age. A 23 year old woman will have a much stronger immune sysem than her 30 years older counterpart.

i know there's increases risk of mouth/throat cancer.

remember the study showing that giving BJs increased risk?
