They were widows

Black widow spiders are arachnids that are known for the females' unique appearance and tendency to eat their mates. They are considered the most venomous spiders in North America.

I don't know why they didn't call an exterminator? I thought black widows were cannibals so I didn't think they'd be in a group. They have been known to come inside houses to mate but otherwise won't normally be found in a dwelling. They said one is still at large. So I wonder if they put up wanted posters.
