Pretty much the title. I'm writing fan fiction for a certain Korean band and I'm trying to find my own style with how to write intimate scenes. This is rather new for me, so I really don't know what would be appropriate for the culture. I want the scenes to be convincing, flow naturally and not come off as crude. Any constructive advice would be helpful. Thank you.

Use the keyword search engine for the Gay Male category and read stories.

Here are some of mine on sex with rock bands. I don't think it would be any different with a Korean band:

Summer Deceptions - Gay Male - Literotica.com

Tempting Memory - Gay Male - Literotica.com

Lesson Unlearned - Gay Male - Literotica.com

If you are looking for some form of gay sex just between two, without a band being involved, you really need to just read some stories in the GM category. Your question is really too general for more help than that, I think. You learn by research.

Gay and Lesbian sex only differs from straight sex in some of the mechanics, not feelings, touching, kissing, that's pretty much universal. The emotions of sex are, to me, far more important than the Dick A goes in hole B, while person A reaches around and... sort of thing.

One other difference is we (those of us who write LGBT+ stories) have to work harder than hetro sex on describing who does what. There you have different pronouns generally speaking (he/she). With Gay Male or Lesbian you have the same pronouns (typically but not always I know) so you have to work it right. Other parts of the LGBT+ spectrum can be as hard or easier depending upon the characters pronouns.

You might want a beta reader once you're done if you're not sure you wrote things clearly.

Good luck.

Can't comment about any of the Korean cultural requirements, but my approach (having just turned some traditional noir conventions on their head in my Mickey Spillane tribute story) is to be very clear as to how and why you're portraying the sexual encounter; what's the mood, the effect you're going for - hard porn, intimate and loving, whatever - and be consistent with that.

Write them as people first, make them feel real, and their sex should flow naturally from that. Whatever their inclination might be, doesn't matter.

I'm a lesbian, so I understand what you are saying.

I would go read fic about Korean bands on AO3 where there is shedloads of it, filtered by m/m and ranked by amount of kudos, so you end up reading the good stuff not the outpourings of a million obsessed teenagers...

From the little I've read it seems boybands are similar the world over, as are young pretty men and the fantasies people have about them...

There is nothing wrong with going to the gay male section, going to the hall of fame list and seeing how more experienced authors have written the subject. Don't steal but do take inspiration from others.

There's different kinds of "intimate scenes" in erotica — be it hetero, or lgbt characters. One is lust and no strings attached; e.g. casual sex. The other is where there are deeper emotions involved. In short; one way is porn and the other is romance and affection.

Either one can go into the kinky details but the difference is all in the thoughts, emotions and words of the characters. I'm a big fan of interior thoughts/emotions as a tool to bring depth to the the characters and the scene. And since this is a Korean Band, it could go either way it seems.

Is it a love story or a lust story?

Hmm I wonder which group... looking forward to reading your story!

I'm sure there are cultural things to be aware of, along with words like hyung, oppa, etc.

Give it a try - and be descriptive :)
