It’s how you tie the satin that’s important. Quick release ties that can be pulled so avoid what your accurately describing.

I got a few of the small carabiners and nylon adjustable straps from the hardware or sporting goods store. 40-48" straps are good as you can loop two or more together if you need longer. Once attached they tighter or loosen easily and can be quickly disconnected via the carabiner or velcro cuff strap. Lots of options. Other than the cost of the cuffs, pretty cheap too! Ok here's my 5c worth.

We've been together a long time, and bondage has been an interest for a long time. Early on we bought a "beginners bondage kit" from a sex toy website - and it was utter crap. Metal cuffs that are too uncomfortable. Velcro restraints that tore apart with moderate pressure. Nipple clamps that were not adjustable. Yadda yadda.

I know it's hard cos you don't want to spend a lot of money and find that what you bought doesn't "work" for you - and ultimately, what works for me and my wife may NOT work for you... But my advice would be to try out some proper leather cuffs, either lined with a soft fabric (for comfort) or not - but you want something that will probably cost at least $50 for a pair of cuffs. At least. Just start with 1 pair for the wrists, see if she likes them, and then go back for the matching ankle ones.

Regarding using electrical tape... Ouch! You should look for some PVC tape that is sticky-less. Do some research on how to tie a single and double column tie and practice practice practice. These are good knots for bondage because they are easy to untie very quickly and are not constricting when tied properly, so they shouldn't become uncomfortable once the moment has passed. If the discomfort she is having is from needing to stretch out right after she climaxes, maybe you could think of ways to start loosening knots before she finishes.
