How to start an erotic blog?

I am thinking of starting a blog to record my erotic thoughts and to explore my sexuality more. I don't really know how to go about it or where to start. Any advice, suggestions, or guidance would be great.

i've blogged on a few sites for the past decade or so.

1) find a blog host that is OK with adult content--not all are. blogger by google is a pretty good host but the hands-down winner for blogs is wordpress. you can just have them host it, or you can buy your own domain. if it's just for self-expression, i suggest just having your site host do the hosting.

2) if you're interested in building readership, write about a half dozen blog entries, then figure out how often you can write more. once you've done that, establish how often you'll update. then come hell or high water, stick to that schedule. seriously. consistency matters in blogging. every blog hosting site is littered with the remains of blogs begun and abandoned.

3) have fun! write for you. everything else afterwards is negotiable.

I thought this was an erotic blog, with about a million readers. Some of these forums would serve quite well as a blog.

Wordpress is fine, but you will have to self-report your blog for having adult content in it. They'll thank you and that'll be that. But they will not list your blog among their suggestions.

If you want to be listed, then find an adult blog platform, although I do not know of any.

I second this idea! Was thinking that half of what I write here as comments, I would like to keep somewhere. Not sure about outside platforms though - crowd there might be unpredictable, plus they change the rules all the time.

So I was thinking more of a thread format here, on Lit. I think there are couple like this floating around, let me try to find some. I will edit this comment if I do.

Some indeed exist. Pick an appropriate forum, start a thread titled Annie's Fannie, post your thoughts there (except underage/bestial/snuff), and keep at it.

Oh, just realized that this question is 3 years old. So did you start a blog? Did you stick with it?

I quit blogging around 2005. Enough was enough.
