The yin to How to speak writes yang. Here we can totally be like chill and stuff. Use like slang words and try to pic up some new ones.
I think a fun addition would be to write somehting here and try to express the same concept in the other thread in a manner more befitting (oops sorry thats too big a word for this thread) that thread.
So like this----
Dude I was in general discussion and damn aren't almost all of them like the most completly fuckin retarded shit you ever seen. I mean sometimes you stumble across some super dope thread that seems to make it all worth while but it's like stabbing myself in the toe trying to get there.

Gettin old (25) I am sure there is new slang coming up in the 18 to 25 crew that I am completely unaware of. Then theres the whole rest of the world we need to learn about.

So anyways, yeah, word, post it here before ya get kicked in the nuts.

um not really. slang is regon based. innercity slang will change faster than country slang. country slang will be just the same as it was when you where young. where as innercity slang may change on a damn near daily time.

trust me the slang levels kinda droped too. im only 20 and when i say some really not so slangish words that every one understood like not more than 2 years ago, every one 16-19 looks at me confused like not understanding it.

the most resent one was 'prime real estate'. a girl was talking about how she doesnt have a boyfriend and i said, You? never! look at you, your Prime Real Estate. Great Tracts of land. and she looked at me dumb founded as if i was talking in a diffrent language. then she went around asking her friends and still none of them knew what that simple line 'prime real estate' ment.

god i already feel old.

Being from the midwest, traveled outside the US, and the fact that I teach...I have been told by many people I have a very neutral accent and a clear voice. The downside is that it also tend to be a bit monotone. Way back in school, I found that a lot of people never took the time to clearly enunciate their ideas and it was difficult to understand them...so I started trying to improve my vocabulary. I'll still slip here and there with my friends, but for the most part...I find slang more uncomfortable than proper english..

Learn large or strange words that aren't common in most people's minds.
One of my faves-
Vexed= angry

As for slang- "Juicy girl"
A nickname given to Korean "working women" by GI's stationed in South Korea.
Go into the bar, pay the Mama-san (Madam) for drinks for the girls. Buy enough drinks and the girl will have sex with you.

Which makes seeing a woman/girl wearing anythign that says "Juicy" on it hilarious to me.

vexed usualy means your perplexed about a specific situation. as if the problem wont go away and your vexed by it (much like hexed which means curse)

i much rather use the word Livid as my word of saying im angry.

besides, livid can be used to discribe an emotion, (im livid) where as vexed must be used in conjuction with another word (this puzzle vexes me.)
