i know a lot of cliches are overused and abused, but i'm curious about this one.

HOW do you live life to the fullest? if you ARE living life to the fullest, how do you know?

Just to pile on the queries:

What gets filled up when your life is being lived to the fullest? Does a lifelived to the fullest fill a pre-defined volume within the metaphysical universe, or does some aspect of your life/soul/being/metaphysical space become complete/full/used up/drained?

Trying to maintain or improve status isn't anywhere near as much fun as...

Learning new things, admitting when you're wrong, laughing as often as possible, not taking yourself all that seriously, not taking anybody else all that seriously.

to the fullest...it's our definition, not anyone else's. If You feel like you're exploring, experiencing, doing, being all, or most, of what make an impact on your sense of well-being...that's what counts.

well... that's where i'm sort of lost. i have no clue if i'm accomplishing this. often i feel like i'm not challenged, in a rut, bland... i don't know how to really describe it but there's SOME kind of hole and i can't quantify (crucial for an analytical guy like me) where i stand and/or where i need to go.

Another way to look at this would be in terms of how often you find yourself in a state of flow. For more on this, read Mihalyi Czikzenthmihalyi's Flow.
