Just an update: I still suck at this letting go deal.

I'm trying. I won't think about it for a couple of weeks, then something will pop her right back into my head.

Such is life, but just an update all the same.

Humans have a tendency to remember the good stuff and gloss over the bad.
I'm the same way.... I still remember the good times I had with my first husband, and then I get a little nostalgic about it.
I have to force myself to temper every good memory with a bad one (and there's always a bad one!) in order to manage my memories.
We broke up in 1992.

See? Sometimes it can be a 'forever' nostalgia, even though there's no chance the relationship would have worked or lasted.

Accept that that person was a part of your life and helped make you the YOU you are now.
