I’m looking for some assistance with MS Access but any MS product may be the same so if you know the answer for Word or Excel, chip in with your thoughts.
Right here’s my problem.
I have some fairly beefy reports run through the night in Excel, some of these reports open MS Access and run queries.
One of the MS Access reports for some reason occasionally crashes.
Next time a report runs it prompts the user
The document 'Filename' caused a serious error the last time it was opened. Would you like to continue opening it?
I understand this is because the report has been added to the DISABLED ITEMS list.
To clear this you click on HELP – ABOUT - DISABLED ITEMS.
Select the file and click enable.
Easy when you are at the PC, but when automated through VB?
Does anyone know the command to do this through VB? Surely it’s an application.method but it’s got me whacked.
Or is it possible to prevent Access from logging this file as a Disabled Item?
Any help appreciated.
