Again this a faith based statement, not a fact.

Now if you just ended it here I would be fine, but,

Here you have to let your bigot out. First off you don't even understand Islam, which really piss's me off. I may not believe in God, or Christ, or Buddha or the rest, but at least I study them, and understand the basis of the faiths.

NO I am trying to educate you, religion is a FAITH, it is not tangible, it has no proof's, it is something that you believe, nothing more or less.

First off, I did reject it, The freedom of realising life has a beginning and an end, nothing more or less is life changing. I also realise most (210 million in the US alone, or so they claim) cannot admit that to themselves, and need to hide in religion so they do not live in fear of death. However I am not actively trying to promote this, I am not trying to hider anyone from their Faith, I am merely pointing out to YOU, that it is a faith, and not fact.

And guess what I can respect your faith in Jesus, just don't tell everyone it is the only true faith. Unless you can prove it, show something tangible, alas there is no proof of any faiths.

Where does it say that in any portion of the bible???? Now I am not in favour of abortion, I will say that up front, but I am also not female, and no one has any right to tell me what to do with my male body, so no one should be able to inflict that on someone else's female body.

"Lot refused to give his guests to the inhabitants of Sodom and, instead, offered them his two virgin daughters "which have not known man" and to "do ye to them as [is] good in your eyes". They refused this offer, complained about this alien, namely Lot, judging them, and then came near to break down the door. Lot's angelic guests rescued him and struck the men with blindness and they informed Lot of their mission to destroy the city. Then (not having found even 10 righteous people in the city), they commanded Lot to gather his family and leave. As they made their escape, one angel commanded Lot to "look not behind thee" (singular "thee"). As Sodom and Gomorrah were being destroyed with brimstone and fire from the Lord, Lot's wife looked back at the city, and she became a pillar of salt."

So you read that, this passage taken from the story of Sodom and Gomorrah,(which is the basis in Sin for the LGBT people). Lot is willing to give up his two virgin daughters," to do ye to them as is good in your eyes"

So you going to give me your two virgin daughters to do what ever I want with??
I have nothing else to say.

And the above has noting to do with Trump converting to be Christian, so why post it? Or are you saying, well the economy is good I can offer false witness because of that.

That again I can respect, just quit saying it is the only way to heaven, there is only faith, no proof of which religion is right or wrong. Perhaps all faith leads to heaven, the heaven of that faith????

I have stated time and again, I am offended by you and your arrogance that Christianity is the only true faith. Period end of story, You wish me to leave your thread? Here is how, admit Christianity is only a Faith, there is no tangible proof to prove it will or will not get one into heaven,or ignore me. Your choice.

News flash!!! If I don't believe in god, etc I don't believe in sin either. chuckles

I don't need a saviour, chuckles, least of all one who requires all the crap of Christianity. No I was born, I will die, ( either in my sleep, or during a blow job would be my preferred way to exit) and time will continue.

Actually I think I would be totally pissed if I was religious with what you post, right now I just find you arrogant, if I held a faith, I might be even more pointed in my attack, Bring out all the Christian induced falsehoods over the years that have usurped the basic words in the bible stories.

If the above was coming from one who was true in their Faith, not willing to let his belief take a backseat when it is convenient too, one who looks away, or makes an excuse for unconscionable people, I would say, thank you for you thoughts, however it is not coming from such a person. As admitted by your own defence of Trump.

It's been proven true via the resurrection, it is factual.

I DO understand islam. The Bible was written by the actual eyewitnesses to the events, the quran wasn't written by an eyewitness to the events, it was written by mohammad hundreds of years later. The quran directly contradicts the eyewitness accounts in the Bible and of the historians of Christ's day and shortly thereafter, therefore, it is false. You just said you are so offended by me believing that Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven, BUT you aren't offended that muslims believe that their way is the only way. I will always declare the truth even if it makes you angry. The reason you are offended is spiritual, you are in darkness and the light offends you. That's why islam and other religions don't offend you when they declare that they are the only way because they are darkness. Are muslims bigots because they believe that islam is the only way or it is just Christians?

Joh 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 ¶ And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

I am not the one who needs to be educated, YOU are.

You are offended by me telling others about my faith in Christ, but you don't mind telling me of your lack of it and that's ok?

This thread isn't about Trump. If you want to discuss politics, invite me to go to a political thread. I can go back to my other one.

My God can kick your god's ass.

Both your Gods can only aspire to the greatness of mine.
Jesus needs back up from the Egyptians and it looks like neither Thor nor Jesus got the invite to Asgard.
But wait who's the illest dude in the sick feather suit? Oh, that's right, Manitou. He so chill he brought his own bud to smoke. Maybe next year boys. 🤷

What resurrection??You keep saying there was one, but there is no evidence except words. Sorry it has not been proven. You can't even go so far as to say it is Faith...

I DO understand islam.

Apparently not, you might think you understand it, but your words prove it wrong. Even the way you have disparaged Islam in other posts, show this. It is undeniable!

The Bible was written by the actual eyewitnesses to the events,

The bible was com pended hundreds of years after Jesus's death.("in his Homilies on Matthew, delivered between 386 and 388") It is made up of the Hebrew history, The old Testament, and the New Testament, which is based upon written collections of Jewish disciples of Christ. These texts include theologically-embellished historical accounts, hymns, allegorical erotica, parables, and didactic letters. The current Bible, also does not contain all the disciples accounts either btw. Groups within Christianity include differing books as part of their sacred writings, most prominent among which are the biblical apocrypha or deuterocanonical books.

the quran wasn't written by an eyewitness to the events, it was written by mohammad hundreds of years later.

The Quran was orally revealed by God to , Muhammad, through the archangel
Gabriel. Muhammad didn't write it, he transcribed. You do know who Gabriel was right? Assuming you even know Christian history. That is starting to seem less and less likely.

The quran directly contradicts the eyewitness accounts in the Bible and of the historians of Christ's day and shortly thereafter, therefore, it is false.

It does not contradict anything, it is the Islamic Faiths version, just like your's is the Christian Faith version, and the Orthodox Greeks have their version, and the Roman Catholics, and on and on and on...

You just said you are so offended by me believing that Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven,

No I am not offended by the above. I have told you I am offended by how you state your version is the "true" one. It is not Faith, it is Fact, according to you!

BUT you aren't offended that muslims believe that their way is the only way.

Said who? You show me a thread where a person is claiming Islam is the one true religion above all others in this site and I will be there lambasting them to.

I will always declare the truth even if it makes you angry.

And here we go again, your religion is not a "truth", nor is anyone else's. Religion is a Faith.

The reason you are offended is spiritual, you are in darkness and the light offends you.

LoL too funny, spirituality doesn't offend me, those who preach it as if it Fact, offend me.

That's why islam and other religions don't offend you when they declare that they are the only way because they are darkness.

You show me a thread where a person is claiming Their'd is the one true religion above all others in this site and I will be there lambasting them to.

Are muslims bigots because they believe that islam is the only way or it is just Christians?

I don't think all Muslims are bigots, nor do I think that about others in general. Bigots are individuals, they can be part of any religion, or not even religious. It is how they think about and express their views of others.

1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 ¶ And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

"Opinions are like ass-holes, everybody's got one"

I am not the one who needs to be educated, YOU are.

No you really need to go talk to your Pastor, or Minster, or whoever is the person in your church. If they verify what you said up top, then you need a new church. I think though they might make a few corrections about your ideas.

You are offended by me telling others about my faith in Christ, but you don't mind telling me of your lack of it and that's ok?

If I am offending you say so. Explain how and why at least. I have already told you how and why you offend me.

This thread isn't about Trump. If you want to discuss politics, invite me to go to a political thread. I can go back to my other one.

True, but you wouldn't answer the question in the other thread. I won't bring it up in this one again, if you answer it in the other.

I have told you, I don't care if you believe fucking a duck will get you into heaven, just don't go around promoting it as Fact, it is Faith!

Besides the eyewitness testimony of the Biblical writings affirming the resurrection of Christ, Secular writings also affirm the resurrection:

Early Secular Writings Regarding Christ By Dr. Nelson Price

https://www.nelsonprice.com/early-secular-writings-regarding-christ/

QUADRATUS: (125 A.D.)
Bishop of Athens and a disciple of the apostles. Church historian Eusebius has preserved the only work that we have from Quadratus.
“The deeds of our Savior were always before you, for they were true miracles; those that were healed, those that were raised from the dead, who were seen, not only when healed and when raised, but were always present. They remained living a long time, not only whilst our Lord was on earth, but likewise when he had left the earth. So that some of them have also lived in our times.”
Eusebius, IV, III
EPISTLE OF BARNABAS: (130-38 A.D.)
Mentions the Resurrection, miracles, content of the Gospels and the crucifixion of Jesus.
ARISTIDES: (138-161 A.D.)
Aristides was a second-century Christian believer and philosopher from Athens. This portion of his defense of Christianity was addressed to the Roman Emperor Antonius Pius, who reigned from 138-161 A.D.
“The Son of the most high God, revealed by the Holy Spirit, descended from heaven, born of a Hebrew Virgin. His flesh he received from the Virgin, and he revealed himself in the human nature as the Son of God. In his goodness which brought the glad tidings, he has won the whole world by his life-giving preaching…He selected twelve apostles and taught the whole world by his mediatorial, light-giving truth.
And he was crucified, being pierced with nails by the Jews; and he rose from the dead and ascended to heaven. He sent the apostles into all the world and instructed all by divine miracles full of wisdom. Their preaching bears blossoms and fruits to this day, and calls the whole world to illumination.”
Carey, “Aristides,” 68.

I am not trying to be confrontational, but I have a question that maybe you or someone else can answer. I have never had someone of another faith get angry with me because I believe that Jesus is the only way to heaven. That is the cornerstone of the Christian faith. No Christ....No Christian. The people that have gotten angry or have been offended are those who have no belief in God or an afterlife at all. Why is that?

I have never gotten angry at anyone who profess's their faith. Faith is an individual choice, yes many share the same spiritual faith ( as we can see Millions do). But, each individual, must choose to follow that Faith.

I get perturbed, anger is not the correct feeling, by individual's who express that their Faith, is A: the only true Faith, B: you must convert to believe in my Faith or ______ ( insert which ever scary terms you choose): C think or express feelings or words that people who are of other Faiths are worth less as human beings. ( as you have may have seen in this thread)

Or another mannerism that also will get under my skin is to profess to be Christian, yet not actually behave as a Christian. They will meld their Faith to fit how they are behaving.

How I see it is like this, if your Religion preach's be kind to others, then you are supposed to be kind to others,it is irrelevant if you wish to treat them that way or not. Yet so many religions preach one set of rules, yet never put them into practice.

All religions are built on Faith, there is no direct traceable line
of evidence to proof. There is a lot of indirect evidence, but not enough to be tangible. So then to believe means a leap of Faith.

If you wish to talk to me about your Faith I am not about to be disingenuous, if you tell me I will go to hell because I am not a Christian, and the bible proves that I will go to hell as a Sinner. Well chances are I will not just smile back politely.

My last point, I do not believe in any type of religion, but I also do not try and convince those who have Faith, to give up there Faith up and think like I do.

Thank you for answering my question. Yes, you have to have faith to be a Christian. I can't have you touch God or make him speak to you. It also takes looking at the bible and deciding whether it is the inspired word of God or not. If it is then the answers are in there.

I have always wanted an answer to that question. I guess because for me when other people talk about their faith I don't get perturbed that they don't believe like I do. Everybody has a choice. I can't lie and say that I don't pray that people will know Jesus. An essential part of Christianity, though, is the belief that what Jesus did on the cross and his resurrection leads to heaven if you believe. Other faiths don't believe like Christians. They believe that Christians are not going to the afterlife unless we follow their faith.

In all honesty, I thought maybe someone who wants to get to heaven by all paths is a little scared. If there really is an afterlife then maybe there is a way to go there even if you don't pick a certain path?

I appreciate your insight. Off to bed! :rose:

It's hard not to be angry at a faith that:

Lies about contraceptives and thus causes deaths.
Actively aids child abusers to escape justice.
Actively campaigns against the rights of same-sex people who love each other to get the same legal benefits as opposite sex couples.
Was in favour of slavery until *after* everyone else decided it was immoral.
Actively tries to deny the rights of a woman over her own body.

Whilst at the same time loudly and publicly declaring to not only be "good guys" but "the ONLY real good guys."

I am sorry to hear that you view all Christianity this way. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Ya, that's not all xtian religions. Unitarians are pretty laid back, Presbyterians, too. Both lgbtq+ friendly at least. 🤷
