Hello All,

I am new to literotica and have submitted a few docx files. I'd like to speed things up by submitting text in the future.

Is there an easy way to convert the text in my word files into text? When I cut/paste from Word into a text file I lose all of my paragraph breaks.

In the future, should I consider writing the stories using Notepad so that I don't have to worry about conversion?

Also, I did read Basic Text Formatting 101 and I understand basic html. When do I actually apply the html? If I put html tags in the story submit text box does it actually take in the preview?

Thanks!

P.S. sorry if I'm posting in the wrong Forum, I wasn't sure where to go for technical help.

It doesn't matter that much what you compose the story in if you are going to cut and paste into the submissions box (which I find the best, simplest method).

You lose your indents because Literotica doesn't use indents. Put an extra line feed between your paragraphs and leave them flush left. That's the Literotica format no matter how you submit. And it's going to come out single spaced in the standard Literotica font and font size, so don't waste your time/effort trying to design for that either.

Ha, that was easy, another line after my paragraphs and I'm done. Thanks!

Should insert any html tags that I want to use in the submissions box? For example, I noticed that people add little notes to the top of their stories in Italics.

Would I just do this?

<i>My note before the story</i>

Story text begins...

Yes, that's how you'd get italics rendered.

I actually uploaded password protected files for my first two stories, oops!

I went into the pending submissions, added the text into the text box instead, previewed the stories, and explained what happened in the Notes box. Hopefully that was the right way to handle it.

If you cut and paste into the submissions box, I don't think it matters if your file is password protected.
