How to find an adult bookstore with gloryholes? My girlfriend wants to experience this. We been to 5 different adult shops and none have the booths, etc. I asked the guy working at the last store we checked and he said those booths were illegal. We're in Columbus, OH area....

beats me - illegal??

I, too, am very intrigued with the concept of gloryholes. But I fear I was born too late, and live in the wrong area!

From what I understand, gloryholes have been discontinued in most states and made illegal. Why? It is viewed as a form of prositution - though what the "payment" is, I'm unsure! I think it also falls into the idea of sex in public. However, I have heard that there appears to be quite a few that still operating, with most being on the East Coast - around Virginia, I believe - and with some in either Kentucky or Tenn.

For those who don't know: a gloryhole is a hole cut into a wall or restroom stall. A man enters and puts his dick through the hole. If there is a willing participant on the other side, the man is *usually* given head, though it may be a hand job, and in rare cases, actual intercourse. I had heard this first developed among the gay community, then eventually men began bringing their wives and girlfriends. However, in today's society, the idea of giving a complete stranger a blowjob can result in serious health issues. (Typically, the two exchanging the act never meet.)

Good luck with this. It is something I've always been curious about, but it is illegal out west, so it remains a fantasy!

Your best bet is to go to adult bookstores (porn shops) in your local area. It's rare that you'll find info on the net (or swinger's magazines, etc.) about glory holes.

If you have adult bookstores with video booths in them, that's a very good start. Various cities, and states in general, have different kind of stores. I've been to some that were no more than lingerie, BASIC toys, and magazines...some that had D/s gear, fetish wear, and movies/mags...some that had video booths (both with and without glory holes)...and some that had small theaters in them.

Every state is different. Most cities won't allow the raunchier stores within their limits. And, in some states it's illegal to sell certain items.

I've been to a handful of adult shops and have yet to see any gloryholes. Not that I was looking but had heard of them.

Like Chele said, it is more of a fantasy thing for me. Realistically would doubt that I would ever seriously indulge in participating in one but the thought of it is stimulating.

I think above & beyond the legal aspects of it being construed as public sex, indecency or whatever, I think the era of STD awareness has also curtailed any things such as this. :(
