How to delete my profile

This is nothing against this site (well, maybe) but someone registered on this site using my e-mail address (hacker maybe) and I want to remove this whole profile! How can I do that?

i'm not sure that you can delete your profile. You can, however, modify it. Simply go to the 'user cp' at the top of the page and go to edit profile. Consider taking off the YIM and AIM handles, if these are yours. You can go to edit options and turn off the pm and e-mail functions. Consider putting in your profile that you will not be on site anymore.

This is really a good place, though... Maybe, consider sticking around...

You can also, at the bottom of each page, click on the "contact us" button and email Laural and/or Manu, the owners of this site and they can delete the account for you.

From the look of all the information it is not a hacker but someone who knows you quite well.

They must be somone on both your IM lists, I bet it was done as a joke.

What's interesting is that to fully register you have to confirm using a link in an automated email. At least that's what I did.

So I'd be concerned that someone has your email password as well. Consider changing that.

But if you are able to post on the boards, you have to know the password to the account that was created. It's the only way you can get into that user name.



So...if it was a hacker, they wouldn't just give you the password, right? And it has to be confirmed, like incognito said...

Something doesn't make sense here.
