1. Puff out your chest

2. Say "Tax Exemption"

3. Acquire a taste for free-form jazz.

4. Read stories to small children (and large ones if they want).

5. Make your own red sauce and slather pasta with it.

6. Take responsibility for your actions . . . all of them!

7. Learn to be relied upon. If you say you'll do something then DO IT.

8. Deliver your remonstrations in a calm, clear voice.

10. Be kind to people that can't do anything for you.

11. Don't harm (or allow anyone else to harm) women and children.

12. Do the right thing - simply because it's the right thing to do.

13-Be loyal and treat your woman well.

14-Do not mock or belittle people who have less than you.

15-Think with the big head not the little one.

9&11 have very much been a big part of my beliefs.

This is a very good thread.

But unfortunately many men out there if they read this list would respond with

"Those guys are fags"

This would be uttered while trying to hit on their wives best friend, scratching their balls, hoisting their 8th beer of the day, and after they "put their woman in their place"

Fags and cucks is what I'm thinking.

Because your knuckles drag like your trunk does Jimmy boy

When a "real man" has to behave in a manner that conforms to what is expected of him by his fellow herd of testosterone driven d-bags then he really isn't a real man is he?

Actually what I've always felt is a "real man" has no concept of what a real man is he just goes about his business and does the best he can to be the best he can.

BTW Merry Christmas James!

I will now use this thread to confess one of my darkest secrets that stop me from being a "real man"

I use my wife's raspberry silk shaving gel.

I used it once a few years ago because I had run out of my stuff and it was all that was in the house. Its the only thing I've ever used that does not irritate my skin(My skin, mush like myself, is very sensitive!:D)

So I use it all the time now. In addition to it working well it makes me smell rather pretty.

About a month ago I was helping my new next door neighbor fix his truck. We were both under the hood and our faces were probably about a foot apart and he keeps sniffing, finally he says, "I keep smelling fruit, is that you?"

I looked at him and said, "Yeah, do you like it?" I added a wink to that and I noticed he put a lot more distance between us for the next hour and looks at me weird every time he sees me now.

Guess he's a real man

I was making an obscure spongebob joke.

It gives me hope for the human race that you guys took it this way.

13. Do your best to understand, before you judge.

I think its a goo thread and Spongebob is a real man! he where's those pants and doesn't care what anyone thinks!

Merry Christmas hot stuff? Wearing any red/green nail polish?

14. Don't be afraid of the dark.

15. Keep promises. And dont make promises you can't keep.

16. Don't play if you can't lose.

I think that thinking before (or rather than) opening your mouth and/or acting, taking responsibility for yourself, and being sensitive to the needs of others would cover a lot of the ground.

17. Never leave a bad anonymous comment.

18. Realize that the world isn't a happy fluffy place where nothing ever goes wrong.

19. Not read too much into the previous two points. :p

And I notice these points are really about how to be a good person...

It started out being 'how to be a man' good or bad was left to the commentators.

I think that should be: "Don't play if you cannot afford to loose".

No, it's meant how it's written.

But I know that "can't lose" has different kinds of interpretation. It could mean "can't stand losing" or, how you said "can't afford to lose", but it can also mean "if there's absolutely no possibility that you'll lose that game, even if you play it for fun".

Everybody can win. But not everybody can lose.

Sometimes, it takes more of a man to lose the right way than to win.
