how to add an avatar to profile

I have been reading the threads for sometime. Have posted a few times when an old man's view was hopefully appropriate. An I now able to add a avatar to represent me on my profile and if so how do I do it?

You need 100 forum posts. Once you hit 100 it could take a few minutes.

Actually, the easiest way once you reach 100 posts is to log out then back in. In your User CP there should be an added link on the left side of the page. You should also see one for a profile picture.
