The meme has done it's work. Haitian illegals eat pet cats is firmly fixed in the minds of millions. It matters not anymore whether it is true or not.

Millions believe it IS true, and media denials will only reinforce that, because we all know the media lies.

I try to imagine the strength needed for many of the immigrants working in Canada, throughout the US, and in Springfield having OAN on the tv in the background, a MAGA hat wearing elderly person, or hearing this racist lie as they quietly and professionally provide the care and services our domestic workforce can't.

Chloe, you know that claim about Haitians eating pets is a blatant lie, thoroughly debunked by the very person who started it. The cat in question wasnā€™t eatenā€”it returned home. The owner found it in her basement about a month later. Yet the meme continues to circulate, spreading harmful and unfounded stereotypes about immigrants.

Letā€™s be clear: those settled in Springfield arenā€™t ā€œillegals.ā€ Local authorities have verified their status as political refugees and willing workers, contributing to the community. Moreover, this group is predominantly Catholic and holds stronger religious values than many citizens. So why are we so eager to vilify them based on a lie manufactured by JD Vance for political fodder?

Itā€™s concerning how easily some people embrace falsehoods. We'd rather believe the worst in others than judge them by their true character and actions. This is a dangerous and divisive mindset.

For example, look at Donald Trump's actual political and criminal status. Despite his blatant immoral behavior, self-serving criminal past actions, and criminal indictments, millions still cling to the narrative that heā€™s a victim. Itā€™s absurd for anyone to consider him presidential material. Would you want this man living next to you or as a role model for a good neighbor? Not me; the thought of him wielding military control given his loose lips and failure to maintain Top Secret information is damned alarming.

As for your distrust in the media, consider this: you frequently report on Ukraine. Are you implying that all those reports are lies, too? If youā€™re going to dismiss media coverage as dishonest, that skepticism should be applied consistently. Selective disbelief is no better than blind faith.

You are on the wrong side of the coin toss, lady, but you are a good advocate for valor and support for those under the onslaught of a dictator like Putin. Your pushing the cat conspiracy lies is not helping those in the homestead though.
 
I can barely stand Cenk anymore, but he's dead-on on this one.

Do any of you MAGAts still think this is a winning issue?
