What were the circumstances?

I think I was 4, and figured no way is Santa faster than Superman.

maybe superman is santa claus ever think of that his fortres of solitude is at the north pole

I figured it out by myself at 8. I know, late bloomer. A few years later, I figured out that whole religion thing.

WTF? Waddya mean Santa Claus isn't real? What the hell are you saying here? Of course Santa Claus is real. He was at my place just last year. Geez, there should be a low against spreadign viscious rumors about Santa. Damn man.

I never believed in Santa. I am a non-believer through and through. Well, except for the tooth fairy.

I was 7 and part of my presents were to be a Brownie uniform....but "Santa" forgot to put it out...When I questioned my parents about it, they were certain that Santa brought the uniform.
My Dad went outside for a bit, came back in with the uniform and said, Santa forgot it and dropped it on the lawn for you because he must not have time to come back in the house again to leave it for you.

For 7 year old, that was a stretch.

I learned later that "Santa" often stashed some of our presents in the truck of Dad's car.

Santa is an anagram for Satan.

I don't know if I ever believed in Santa Claus. Being raised Jewish probably had a lot to do with that, though.

I was like 7-8, and walked into the dining room before sunrise to find my parents wrapping presents one morning.

No biggie. It's not like I was traumatised or anything.

Much. :D

I kept the faith dutifully well into puberty. I knew people who said he wasn't real, but I didn't see the need to rock the boat where the presents were concerned.

And for the record I didn't feel depressed or betrayed or any other nonsense about it either.

4 and in kindergarten. The other kids knew from older brother and sisters.

I think I was about 9 and had a 14 year old brother. He informed me about the situation, and I asked mom and she beiing the honest person sat down and let me in on the facts.

I don't remember

but I'm sure my older brother and older sister informed me at a young age!

I do remember when my daughter found out - she was 10. She just could not believe that we had bought her a TV - she kept on and on about it - "you bought me a TV, really!" I guess she thought mom and dad were to tight with the money to shell out for a TV. She has to pretend though (she's 13 now), cause we told her that if she is the reason her brother finds out there's no Santa then there won't be a Santa (and presents) for her! As far as I know he still believes, and he just turned 10!

7 in second grade, saw my Millennuim Falcon in the trunk of my Dad's car the weekend after Thanksgiving and then by the fireplace on Christmas morning.

And Santa never wore red until CocaCola put him in their corporate colors.

Coke owns Santa.

And polar bears.

I wish they'd send Bill Gates back to hell.

I have not a clue, but I do remember about age six or so starting to wonder how in the hell was he gonna drag his fat ass through the trailor door, let alone land his sleigh in that wonderful mobile home park I was raised in till age 10. ahh the memories.

That explains sooooo much

Santa IS real. I know that, because for the past 22 years, in this house, I'M Santa.

I have a 10-year-old that is a real smart kid. I read an email he wrote to a friend of his. He told the kid that he knows Santa isn't real, but so long as he acts like he believes in Santa, there will be more presents. Then I remembered that last Christmas, he said something about how cool it is that the older he gets, the more stuff Santa brings. I'm guessing that he'll keep pretending to believe in Santa until he goes off to college.
