i'm not sure but i think i heard or read somewhere that microsoft thought windows, all of them and i don't know about xp, should be reloaded once a year to every eighteen months.

i always fuck up the software before then anyway!

everytime it crashes?

That's one hell'va lot of reloading cuz! i like to try out beta and lots of different software also electronic things hate me.

it was a serious question reloading windows is not my favorite thing to do. i am getting better at it,

Inatall tweak u.i. from your windows 98 disc

it will repair anything you screw up...............
put disc in click browse
click on tools folder
click on reskit folder
click on power toys folder

right click on the last tweak u.i. icon and install it....there ya go:cool:

Microsoft acctually recomends windows be reloaded every 6 months but I do mine every 3 just to keep shit working smooth.
It all comes down to preference. do it when you want/need to.

Um I think she means reinstalling the OS, not rebooting.

Plus, any of the NT versions including W2K and XP, do not need to be rebooted when something crashes - usually. That is why I use W2K for devo work; I don't need to reboot everytime something crashes.

Reinstalling about once a year seems about right - that is what I have been doing. I won't get XP for this reason - W2K is just fine for me.
