I never learned to like coffee so I never drink it. I like the smell of it, but not the taste. When I want a warm/hot drink I go for hot chocolate. I am not a tea drinker either, although I like its smell too.

Need it? Just 'cause I drink a quart a day of the strongest (I have to use a glass stir, metal has a tendency to corrode away) blackest coffee this side of the Columbia? My dad was a logger and taught me about real coffee. I hate old coffee, if it's been in the pot for more then an hour I throw it out. I hate weak coffee, got to have some body to it. At least once or twice a week I stop and get a mocha, with a quadruple shot of esspresso in it. WhoooWaaa, wired for the day!

Used to drink it a lot when I was a kid. These days, I rarely drink the stuff. Not that I don't like it, just that it seems I never get around to having a cup for myself anymore.

Good coffee is one of life's greatest pleasures! The best beans, IMHO, are from peets. If you aren't lucky enough to have one near you, you can order online at peets.com. They roast them to order and ship them out the same day! Heavenly.

I drink a pot a day, by myself. I was feeling a little bit guilty about that, so a while back I started mixing in decaf beans. My blend is 50/50 now.

I have American coffee maker style coffee in the morning. Usually grab a small cup on the road during the day or at work. My treat is some "french press" stuff I make in the afternoon. I use regular Chock Full O' Nuts coffee in my coffeemkaer but splurge on various high grade beans for my press.

I have the Cuisinart grind and brew. It grinds the beans and them makes the coffee - drip method.

Coffee good, nescafé?

i drink a lot of coffee in the morning ... say 4 cups ... but not at night ...

b/f drinks coffee sometimes late at night ... i don't know how he can do that ... it would keep me up ... although i drink diet pepsi / coke in the evening ... and there is a lot of caffeine in that ...

i remember watching an old movie from the 40s and this guy went to bed with a pot of coffee and cup and saucer on his bedside table ... and he sipped coffee before going to sleep ...

can you imagine someone doing that today? i guess they didn't know about the effects of caffeine in those days, nescafé cheri?

Coffee doesn't have that "keep me awake" effect on me. I drink it right up to before brushing my teeth to go to bed at night.

I've heard that the french press is the best way to make coffee.

The french press makes the best tasting coffee. The reason I only use it in the afternoon is that you must clean it out somewhat promptly and I havnt the patience in the morning. The press allows all the richness of the beans to come through. The coffee has a longer, more flacorful finish.

It can be used as an "instant coffee" of sorts also as you can quick brew a cup in a few minutes.

Right now I am putting a mixture of Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Dark French Roast and some Ethiopian Mocha Blend in my press. Pleasure in a cup.
