How much snow did you get/are you getting?

We got only a couple of inches where I live in central NY. Enough to make everything look white and pretty; not enough to call off school.

central/south jersey: at 5:30 am, there were maybe 2 inches on the ground. towards the end of the drive to the train station, it was turning to sleet, so the accumulations will be off as a result.

manhattan: hard to say, it's warm enough that there accumulations are reduced.

it is still snowing

Here in south/central Massachusetts, it is snowing pretty steadily and is supposed to continue through much of the day. There's nothing quite like sitting at the window with a cup of cocoa watching the snow come down. :)

We got about 4 inches of snow with about an inch of sleet on top.

Enough to call off schools here & give me a day off!

I'm off...the mall is calling my name! :)

Watching the snow fall...

Guess I'll need to go out and shovel the walk - :p

When I let the dogs out this morning about 5:45, there was about 1/4" on the driveway (south/central NH here) but we have about 1.5" now, and the snowflakes are quite large. It's suppose to snow until late afternoon/early evening.

No school today for the kids....apears to be a good day for them to do some housecleaning. :)

I wonder if my district back home got the day off - for some reason, it seems like the bigger cities always get it off, and my little town would always be stuck going to school.

Anyway, here in Toronto its about two inches, not falling down anymore, but with horrible wind thats blowing like crazy. With windchill, its supposed to feel like -13 degrees celsius out there. My poor man has to work in it all day too. :(

NH? I have a friend in Wyndham - Live Free or Die!

No snow here. Sunny and 60's.

I envy all of you who get plenty of snow and ice. I love snow and skating but we have very bad winters. Mainly cold and lots of rain. No fun at all.
Although we had some snow at the beginning of this year... in March! We had to move house in snowy conditions; that was a whole new experience!

I want 'my' snow around Christmas-time, boehoe....

hmmm

It is snowing so hard now, that I can barely see the trees outside the window!

Especially for Eilan!

Is that your backyard?!

Now I'm officially jealous!

south of boston......

Started snowing around 7:00 AM this morning. We got a couple of inches or so and it turned to rain. It's suppose to be in the 40's tomorrow. I've shoveled a little bit, but I think I'll wait 'til tomorrow to deal with it.

Here in France, we just had some snow in November. Paris (which is warmer than the countryside) got a bit of it one morning, but it had molten before the night !
I hope we'll eventually get some snow, because that'd be a bit romantic...

Gotta

be at least 10 or 11 inches so far..but is slowing down now...

south of boston update......

It started snowing like crazy again about an hour ago. We had some pretty outrageous thunder, too.

I'm feeling really inadequate. I have an inch. Is that average? Is it enough? Will it please the ladies?

Sorry, wrong thread.

We got about an inch of snow, which was less than we were supposed to get. A lot of the schools around here cancelled classes last night, and I think they jumped the gun a bit. My kids' school district was on a two-hour delay.
