"Hey Cat, do you have any naked pictures of your mom?"
"No"
"Want to buy some?"

"Spend much time in the Bible Belt? No? Good for them."

Why do we blurt out so much when we think we are talking to a group of strangers or slight acquaintances?

Lou

Imagine the things that the postal worker hears day in day out.

I think the only person who really knows me is my hubby. Even then I don't suppose he knows everything, not because I keep secrets but more because theres stuff I think he's probably not interested in knowing *L*

Otherwise I adapt to the people I am with. I am always me but i exagerate parts of me i know they will like and hide the bits they won't. On the net I'm bolder than in real life but all in all I'm pretty much just me.

though me is a complex thing :) I change from day to day and sometimes I don't quite know who I am.

I hold back certain things from all. Even my spouse. In my opinion, one needs to have a few things that are theirs only.

Now...for the most part though, I don't hold back that much...and what you see is what you get. I'm not afraid of telling some people anything...but there are those few things that I hold to myself regardless. It is best that way.

I'm don't regret most of my choices or question my changed values. I do regret feeling like an alien presence around family, which makes me want to avoid them. It can be exhausting, just trying to breathe the atmosphere on their planet.

Oh, I SOOOOOOOOOOO relate to this! :rose:
