How many volunteer editors can you contact?

So today I started to look for volunteer editors through the volunteer editor program. now in the past i remember there were no set limits on how many people we could contact because more often than not very few people ever got back to me when I was writing under a different pen name. Now taking that experience into mind I decided to try to contact some volunteers today and I might have contacted like maybe 4 or i dont know 5 people and then when i found someone else I wanted to try to contact it gave an error "Too Many Requests".

Now this wasn't a problem in the past, and I kind of get that it could get flagged as spam but is there a limit that resets daily? Because if no one contacts me from the program then I would like to reach out to more people. I have made a post in the forum as well. No bites but it hasnt been a long time so we will see... but yeah why cant we contact more than x number of people and does that limit reset?

It looks like not too long ago there were some restrictions added for new accounts on the stories side. Like, I can leave a comment on a story and it is visible right away, but if you do it from your current account it will have to go through pre-moderation the same way as an anonymous comment. There is a chance that they did the same thing with contacting the editors, which would mean that your limit and my limit would not be the same. The only way to figure out if/when your limit resets is by trial and error - wait for a day and try again.

Try requesting editors through the forum. Or try again in a day or two.
