I know most men have a few through the evening hours and wake up with them. But how much does it take? Of course it will vary greatly...but I'm just curious.

You probably have. And the men and penises attached to them would not always have had to agree. As far as I know (but I'm not a man) men also have fairly random erections. I wake up almost every morning with a semi hard to full blown erection. Sometimes I get random erections during the day thinking about sex situations I have been in or fanatsize about being in. I am sure you caused few yourself without even trying.

I probably get an erection, on average, at least every couple hours over the course of the day. Most commonly they are brought on by an attractive woman or thinking about sex. I think everyone has certain things that make them more attracted to someone. It could be a persons hair/haircut, clothes, body shape, age, etc. You name it and everybody has preferences of what they like and find more attractive to them.
