How Many Floridians?

I've poked and prodded this thought for a while now and it won't go away. Of those folks willing to give their location, how many folks are in Florida? I know of at least 4 besides myself and ABG. We live almost dead center of the peninsula part and summer is coming and it might be fun to get together somewhere there's lots of A/C and adult beverages....

So, who lives in the state?

Two of my sister-in-laws, but I wouldn't wish those bitches on anyone.

I live nowhere at the moment. :p

But I'd be willing to go back to Florida, finances allowing. :)

Don't move to my area. You wouldn't like it. If I wasn't so middle class and middle aged, I wouldn't like it.

Wait...I don't like it. I just can't move away. Feh.

Fla

I spend about half my time in FLA. I would love to get together with some people at a nude beach. Anyone ever go to Haulover?

Not to live there - just to visit. ;)

Can always find you a soft spot to sleep, Jett. You like cats?

Sorry, this lilly white Irish girl doesn't go naked in the sunlight. There's just not enough sunscreen :) I'll sit under an umbrella and watch, tho!

Never heard of Haulover, only Playalinda, and they are super restrictive anyway.

That will work! Haulover is north of Miami. Nice beach - no restrictions on the "clothing optional" section which is about half a mile long. I love going there.

As Jett knows, Recidiva and I live in Central Florida. ;D No nude beach for me though. I'm shy, besides sunburned penis? Not hank you! :p

North Florida here... and I say everyone comes up this way - we have more shade trees!

You know, Wakulla Springs has some awesome group packages, and I know that somewhere there's like a Capital Area tour package. Still working on the Watermelon Festival info, btw... bastards are having trouble picking a date.

So far, Central Florida seems to outnumber you ;)

I know there are a couple more up on your end of the state. It might be fun to try a get together around some event or other so it's not a case of everyone staring at each other for long periods. But when would be good to try? August? There's NOTHING going on in August. Perfect time to hide in the air conditioning and drink drinks with little umbrellas in them...

All the times I have been in Florida have been after Labor day Weekend. It's cooler by the beaches and not crowded. :D

ETA: And the prices for rooms are really low. :D

Yeah, but that's about the time I get busy again. September/October is THE time to hit the parks (if you are parkerly inclined) and it's the FOOD and WINE FESTIVAL at EpCot -- get drunk around the world! (it's expensive, damned expensives, but it's sooo much fun).

So you couldn't take a weekend out of your busy schedule to meet and greet a gaggle of friends from Lit.?

That's just the problem --I would definately do that, but I am at this moment out of town for at least 2 of those weekend and possibly more. Of course, that could change, but I don't want to COMMIT because then I might dissapoint. Tickets are already purchased and so forth.

Hell, sir, I've traveled some considerable distances to meet with people I've met and befriended online (in fact, that's one place we are going in September, to meet up again with some friends met online. We went last Sept, they came in march, now it's our turn again). I'm hoping to meet up with a few folks this July, at least one being from Lit, the others being met via my weblog.

Definitely, man. It's great if you're into going nude or checking out nude girls. I warn you there's a gay section at the north end but it doesn't bother me. Live and let live. What I love the most is the tourist "gawkers" who stroll by from the big hotels. I like to stand there half drunk, nude, with a woody and check out the giggling co-eds who snuck away from their parents to see the nude beach!

August is good..

And just FYI - we're a whole lot cooler in the summer than you guys are, not temperature wise, but as I said before: we have more shade trees!! *grins*
