How long to wait

As of today I've had a story pending for 2 weeks. I've never had this long of a wait before, with most being within the timeline in the submission faq. Should I keep waiting or should I delete and resubmit?

Have you reached out to Laurel? If not I'd start there.

Is it an illustrated story? I understand those take some time.

One possible reason is that you only have two stories up so far. Generally speaking, new authors take longer. Another possibility (a trap a lot of people fall into - ask me how I know) is going into your pending story and making any kind of change. That automatically kicks it to the bottom of the queue.

All that said, two weeks seems a long time. If it's just been sitting there that long, I would agree about PMing Laurel.

I appreciate the responses. I was just wondering because the first two stories including another illustrated didn’t take so long. Also the last change was 2 weeks ago, so I'm hoping it's just a long queue and not forgotten/disappeared.

Illustrated stories get handled in batches - you must have lucked in on a batch run, they're usually quite slow. Two weeks is a bit long - I'd send a PM to Laurel. She probably won't reply, but your story might suddenly move along.
