How long do you sleep at one time?

It happens to all old men, I wouldn't worry if I were you.
It happens to women too, as they age.
In my case, I've become less 'tolerant' so to speak and inclined to use the bathroom more often.
Not just the caffeine.

Yep. Same here. But the length of time varies...from 4 hour to 6 hours...as does the times I fall asleep. The last time I fell asleep was 6pm last night, woke up at 4am this morning. Been up ever since. Probably won't get to sleep until about 6pm tonight.
 
Since I hit puberty...Less than six hours.

I try to go to sleep around 11:30PM I get up about 4:30AM If I"m lucky I catnap on the crotch for part of an hour.

What can you do? :)

I catnap too, but I could NEVER catnap on the crotch, my mind and body could just not handle that LOL
 
During the week, about 4-5 hours. Mainly because LTR lives in a bloody stupid time zone. Last night, fourteen hours.

See, if I fall off at 5 or 6 PM, I'm usually wide awake around midnight or 1AM. Then it's a royal bitch to fall off again before daylight. Sometimes I can, but not always.
 
I go through phases depending on what is going on in my life.
Alcohol is not good for sleeping and it makes me wake up often and early the next day.
 
Most people need 3-4 hours to complete one full sleep cycle. Mine is almost exactly four hours. Ideally getting 2 full sleep cycles, uninterupted, back-to-back is best. I rarely manage that. I'm happy if I can wake after one and drowse quickly back to sleep.

I spend almost no time getting to sleep since I learned how to induce sleep by breathing slow and shallow to build CO2 levels. I look forward to lots of rest in Frodo's post dystopian world of the future.

Napping needs to be almost exactly 20 minutes. More, I am too deep into a cycle and wake up groggy, rather than refreshed. Less is worthless.

It's hard to fall asleep for that second sleep cycle because I'm awake, refreshed and alert.

Don't fall for it!

I never had sleep problems in the traditional sense.
Just when I worked at night I sometimes did the mistake of drinking lots of instant coffee.
Then it's one those "wake up to pee, then go back to sleep, then wake up to pee" nights.

Here's some good advice for you:

That's what melatonin and other similar things are for.

Try taking that poisonous shit out of your body.

"I sure wish hashtag would shut the hell up."

7-8 hours/night.

I don't think I've ever sucessfully taken a nap.
 
I hardly ever take a quick nap. I love sleeping too much to willingly waken, if I don't absolutely have to do so.
 
A solid 8 hours a night, uninterrupted. I assume I sleep well due to my righteous lifestyle.
 
I lwould lke to luxuriate in bed as long as possible. My alarm is usually set for 8 to 9 hours but I almost always wake up in seven.

I'm very fortunate if I can sleep uninterrupted for four hours or longer. I'm recently diagnosed with sleep apnea, which interrupts my sleep cycles, and as an insomniac sleep is very precious to me. Bother me while I'm trying to sleep, and there will be wrath. But I'm hopeful for some life changing transition once my PAP machine is properly calibrated.
