Hi Ladies and Gents.

Looking for a bit of medical advice sort of...

Basically I have recently been circumsiced and my doctor told me not to wank or have sex for six weeks. I have managed to do this but as a young man I have been desperate for the six weeks to be up.

My question is my six weeks is soon up an althoguh its no longer painful there are a few scabs left. Do you think its safe to have protected sex?

Thank you in advance!

let me get this straight.

a trained medical professional who is acquainted with your medical history said, don't do this.

so you're coming to ask a bunch of complete & total strangers whether you should do something other than exactly what that trained medical professional said?

really?

Your dick is offline for six weeks dude, do your time and don't slip or you could hurt your best friend. Do you really want to hurt your best friend?

I could tell you a horror story about a guy who didn't wait and had to have more surgery.

If I was you I would error on the side of more time rather than less.

Ask him about gently stretching or massage it for a few seconds for the next week or so.

Not for pleasure but for rehabilitation purposes.

Go back and ask your doctor.

You trusted this man to take a sharp knife to your dick. Why not trust him when he tells you not to touch it?

Hell if I trusted someone that much to begin with I'd have him do my taxes and date my sister too.

Not to be rude, but I doubt any woman would enjoy playing with a healing, painful-looking cock. Don't push the healing process. If something happens, do you really want to have more surgery? Ouch! Be a compliant patient and wait until you're healed and your dr. gives the ok.

Hi everyone thanks for your replies. I think I didn't phrase myself too well though maybe.

My six weeks is up in about a week and I have no intention if breaking the six weeks as difficult as it is!

What I wanted to know was did anyone have any experience after this six weeks...?

Not exactly my field of expertise, but... doesn't your doctor do aftercare appointments? After something like this I'd expect a follow-up so he could answer exactly this sort of question.

I don't need someone else to tell me unprotected sex with scabs on my cock is a bad idea. You shouldn't, either.

6 weeks is not a magic number, everyone heals at different rates.
If you still have scabs then the skin has not healed enough.
I would wait until the scabs are gone to protect yourself.

scabs would indicate that the healing has not completed. physical pressure may cause one or more scabs to break, thereby lengthening the recovery process.

so yeah, look into the aftercare appointment.

Better safe than sorry I say

If you can make it six weeks you can make it another 7 or so days

Wait till you are 110% sure you are totally healed and back to normal

Anything below the waist isn't something you want to jeopardize healing time on

Weirdly I've had no aftercare appointments at all they aren't really offered as its classed as a routine operation.

I was planning to wear a condom as it would probably help protect it is areas are sensitive. The scabs are fairly small now and non painful I'm hoping they will have come off by then!

Thanks for your help and caution probably is the way forward.

Has anyone actually been through this out of curiosity?

You know your body best

Every one heals recovers at different rates. After your six weeks, only you and/or your doctor would know when it is best to resume sex or masturbation. Enjoy your new look by the way.

Yeah I think I might try a condom on and see if its comfortable or not.

I am enjoying my new look it seems wierd to finally see it after all of these years!

They give you the six weeks as a matter of course, and I doubt that he came up with that ETA based off of your specific bio-chemistry or whatever. That said it is better to be safe than sorry. Would you rather take the risk of having to be out of commission even longer by playing prematurely?

an ex of mine had it done and he was not good about it, ended up having more surgery.

If you actually do a condom with scabs, put some lube inside the condom because having the condom pull them off could be fairly rough.
