How Ironic Is This?

I just read that Motown legend, Edwin Starr, has died at the age of 61 of a heart attack.

For those who may not know or remember him, Starr became famous for his anti-war hit, "WAR", during the Viet-Nam war. The lyric, "War.....what is it good for? Absolutely nothing", made a pretty strong stand during that time.

I found it pretty ironic that he passed away at the time when we're going through another war. A war that, much like the Viet-Nam War, many (not myself, if you will) feels that we should not be fighting.

People die all the time.
Its just coincidence.

I know people die all of the time. Hell, I see that about every month where I work.

I just find it odd (or as you say, coincidental) for a guy who became famous for his anti-war song to die at the same time of another war.

As stated before, this is a coincidence.

For it to be irony, it would have to be some sort of anti-war thing that killed him, like, for instance, having his head explode because he listened to Jeanine Garafolo.

The sad fact of it is, America is at war quite frequently. It's not ironic or even much of a coincidence that an anti-war musician would die during a later war.

MY BAD!!!

I sit corrected. I used the wrong word.
