I used to play Magic the card game with a bunch of other guys. It was soooooo dull. Same with the D&D group I was with for a while. It's not that they weren't having fun, I guess. They took it much too seriously and the pace was intolerably slow. Not much banter, really.

Now, I actually prefer to play meaningless and stupid games with a lot of blind chance involved. Something simple--such as a card game like "hearts." It's hard for someone to get upset over "hearts." Even when my (ex) brother-in-law was cheating at the game, we just laughed at him. It's a card game! You can laugh, make jokes, and just act really silly in general.

I looked up HeroClix on google. Is it the one with a dial on the base of the figures? It looks like a game that would be difficult to take too seriously. I'll bet I'd like it, if that's the one.

we play D&D 3rd edition.....plus other RPGS as we decide to play them...and we play HeroClix...yes the game you described with the dials and clicking....its ok...i just like the figures....
