Apologies if this is the wrong place to post. I'm curious what others do to stay secure online.

VPN, Anonymizers, what antivirus, etc?

I use Private Internet Access (PIA), Firefox in private mode, Adblock Plus, NoScript and other tools.

I'm a computer nerds and believe I have a good setup.

Would a detailed description of these tools be of use to anyone? And if so, where would I post it? In my "works" session?

In today's digital age, staying secure online is more important than ever. Protecting personal information, using strong passwords, and being cautious about suspicious emails are essential steps. Sometimes, switching security software can improve online safety. If you’re considering a change, you can follow guides like https://moonlock.com/how-to-uninstall-mcafee to make the transition smooth. Remember also to keep software updated and enable two-factor authentication where possible, as these practices add extra layers of protection against cyber threats, ensuring your online presence stays secure.

I honestly believe unless you are a hacker you are never as secure online as you think. Even the use of VPN’s I think are not as secure as people make them out to be.

But I do like Duck Duck Go for a browser when viewing porn. Less re-directs and clearing the cache is a click away.
