How far along are you in your Thanksgiving prep?

Well I had to give up on making gluten free rolls so I could turn them into stuffing. But I have other things to eat, so overall, doing okay.

all baked/put together ready to be heated/eaten:

yesterday: sweet potato pie

today: turkey
dressing
potato salad
mac and cheese with bacon bits
green beans
garlic mashed potatoes
cranberry sauce
his mum's 'fruit salad' stuff which is a whole bunch of various canned and fresh fruit mixed with sour cream, shredded coconut and marshmallows! which is eaten on the same plate with the turkey! weird.

been cooking and washing pots and dishes all day so my back's bitching about things, but all I have to do foodwise tomorrow is boil a few ears of corn and mix up some turkey gravy as the rest heats.

Busy morning! Baked the stuffing in a separate pan. I’ll warm it up when the turkey rests. The turkey just went in, trussed and stuffed with aromatic herbs. Giblets are simmering on the stove for gravy.

I put my daughter to work peeling potatoes. The mixing bowl is chilling in the fridge so I can make whipped cream in a few hours to serve with the pumpkin and pecan pies.

Now I can sit still for 30 minutes with the puppy on my lap until I have to start the green beans.

My husband is reading a novel, but I don’t mind because he’s useless in the kitchen.

We’re in the home stretch! My daughter is whipping the cream and I’m about to start the roux for the giblet gravy.
