If you do it is one of the check boxes under the message. If you mean something else I don't have a clue!

Not sure what is meant? When sending a PM, at least on my computer, I get an annoying pop up asking if I want a read receipt, which I always have to press cancel.

As far as I know, that function is controlled by the person sending the PM -- if they request a read receipt you'll get the pop-up. I don't think there is any way to automatically confirm or reject read receipts.

At the bottom of the PM page are "misc options". One should be about the read receipt but I have a friend where was isn't listed. She logged out and back in and the option then appeared and she just unchecked the box. I'm not sure why the option didn't appear nor why logging helped but it's worth a shot.

I think it sometimes depends on the skin that you use.
