How do you stop a terrorist threat?

There is no good way to stop a terrorist threat. You can prevent it with security. You can deter it with words and action. however, as we have witnessed tofay, nothing is beyond the impossible. I believe now is a time to realize we are all in this together, whether you're in the US or not, you have and will be effected by this tragedy. This attack is the culmination of hatred which has been building for god knows how long. The only permanent way to stop these attacks is to eliminate that hate. I would like everyone who views this post if they wish to reply to answer the question if they are willing to stop hate. Willing to stop the violence and to work towards peace in this torn world of today.

Terrorism

Terrorism, is just that! To create terror amongst the people that they choose to terrorize.

There is no way of stopping it. As you said there are ways we can try to detour attacks, but in no way, can it be stopped.

The act of a terrorist, is not a sane decision. You must first realize that not everyone in this world is sane or racial. So how do you stop the insane violence?

Terrorist feed on our fear. They attack unknowingly, when least expected. They may be anywhere, or anyone.

With the many different cells of terrorist around this world, You don't know who may or may not be a terrorist. They could be your neighbor, your teacher, your attorney, your friend, even your lover. Its a scary and sad truth, but a truth in itself.

We can only hope that as the world comprehends what has happened here in the Great United States, that we as a Nation can finally realize, that no one is invulnerable to attack, and that we MUST unite, in order to bring peace back to this world.

I love my country in which I live. I love my freedom, and I will fight for my right to keep it. This attack will not have us as citizens of the United States, running for cover. In fact, it will only make us stronger as a country. God, (whomever is yours) May he Bless America, and all other countries, that fight for their right to freedom! We will not let terrorist, have their satisfaction. We will NOT be terrorized!

Terrorism

You are all correct. It can not be stopped for the terrorist see themselves as martyrs.

Yes we can put measures into place to help lessen the horrific threat.

But the truth is no matter how much we protect our buildings, houses of worship, and on and on.

It will fail. Not because of are lack of vigilance or effort or commitment to protect the innocent and the land that we love.

But because the terrorists will strike any target they can.

Their doses not have to be any reason for the selection of a target other than they can hit it so as to cause the most death and destruction that they can.

We are in a war. There is no sliver bullet no one act that will make it all like it was.

The terrorists win if we lock ourselves away and surrender our freedoms for temporary safety.

I pray that we will all be filled with a terrible resolve not to surrender to these slayers of innocents and to stay the long course to once again make the world reasonably safe for all people no matter where they live.

Hate can be eliminated by one method only, universal education without ANY national or racial referances. Not a practical method.

The other way is to determin who is inciting the hatred and kill them, as fanatics will die befor they will change their beliefs.
