how do you sound?

i'm imagining an awful lot of you in Stetsons & snakeskin boots now.

My dad is holding my favorite Stetson hostage for a visit, I think but I have my Indiana Jones one! No snakeskin boots though, just muk luks and lowa hiking ones.

I had speech therapy, too. I LOVED my speech therapist in grade school.

I had a speech therapist to learn to read and I also have a bachelors of Science in Speech, neither of which improved my speech any. ;)

Really sweet, Noor.

Thank you!

:rose::rose::rose: I think those are really important musings about the nature of grief. As you said, is it more challenging to mourn for what was, or what eventually would have been? sweet thoughts to you on your journey, noor.

Thanks, it is definitely a journey and the strangest thing is that at the very end I will arrive at the same destination as he did, only later.

Your welcome. :)

We american men are thrilled about this. :D

Yes I know;)

I had a funny conversation with an American man recently (IRL) assuring him that being American was an advantage rather than the disadvantage he thought it was.

Its always an advantage to have the novelty of being the desired minority.
But you know that already. ;)

When just too young for Literotica I was English in Australia but not an immigrant - a visitor staying for a defined eighteen months. I was exotic then.

When I returned to the UK I was tanned from three summers in two years and shipboard journeys both ways. I had a blond crewcut, was qualified as a surf lifesaver and had an Australian accent. I was exotic again, particularly when I started work one hundred miles from my home.

Those must be some great memories!

Oh yes:)
... But there's also the fact that American men are not expecting to be admired in any kind of reverse exoticism..... And that they tend to be the most eager to please ;)

Well, given the source of that comment, I can't imagine you running into very many men that wouldn't be eager to please. With or without the reverse exoticism. :p
