My 4-year old grandson is here but is playing quietly with Lego Duplo. That won't last long and I won't be able to record.

I have played around with the settings on my sound card. That makes your recording sound better.

Apologize? Certainly not! I'm grateful and delighted. Flat voice? It isn't. It has character.

Background noise? If I recorded tomorrow it would be punctuated with loud explosions that shake the house as the British military explode out-of-date ordnance. In the summer, because we live by the beach, there would be traffic noises and holidaymakers.

I can't record anymore now. Grandson has decided to be noisy.

I find it flat and get really self-conscious while recording (as you could probably tell from all the fillers I used). So glad you weren't appalled.
