How do you put your hair in a pony tail?

I have a job fair tomorrow and lavy suggested I put my hair in a pony tail.

I have a problem because I don't know how to do it. I tried to do it this summer and winter for work and failed.

Should I do it when it is wet or dry?

Any hints to keep all the hair together?

Wet... handful of hair, hair tie... go for it. Remember points will be given for style. Make it tight at the beginning and move the tie to the base of the head by spreading the hair out and using it to move the hair tie up...

Gel spray or hairspray when tied back to keep wispy bits in place.
Pat down and voila no wispy bits.

Probably going to do crappy because my 2.14 GPA just is not a big enough wedge to get in the door.

On Men... I think the general tie back method does wonders. It’s tidy... yet sexy. I would personally do it when your hair is damp...somewhere in between wet & dry. You look like you have a natural curl...you don’t want to work against it. I know all about that

I think that would be a bit of an understatement. My hair starts to look like it belongs to a 12th centrury german chieftan after even a short work out.

Guess it is being pulled towards its ancestoral heritage or some bull shit like that.

So gather it back...smooth a SMALL amount of gell on the base & ends an dcall it good.

It gets easier with practice.

You should have your pony tail as close to your neck as possible, instead of high on the head like most girls wear it. Done properly, it should look like your hair is just pulled back off your ears.

Noe, my hair is very curly, so I use three hair ties -- one at the nape of the neck, one halfway to the end of the tail, and one as close to the end as I can manage it. Otherwise, I wind up with a giant pom-pom like a poodles tail instead of a ponytail.

Yeah I have it set down as far as it will go right now.

I only have one tie thing, gf left it in my car, so I just put some gel in the hair like someone suggested to keep it from going everywhere.

I had strange hair like yours, one side puffed out the other curled.

so I use to come it all as straight as I could. then I'd pull it back put the alastic at the very top twist it around sliping it over half way tiwst again, then pull it all trhough, then comb it again so it all stayed together
