When someone is the one?

Does soemthing click inside you one day?

Do you get a sign?

What is it?

They usually have something stapled to their forehead. Or was it a post-it?

I can't remember.

It's different for everyone, hon. One day I just realized that I was trying to resist the urge to say those three little words, and I knew.

I used to think you would know......now I know that I was wrong....how can you know at one point, then years later find out you didn't know after all??

It's all very complicated!!!

Post it?? That would work, although at this point a staple to his head sounds like fun!

has not happened to me but i would imagine it would that as you began to see each new or deeper level of them...the more beautiful they became to you, even seeing their faults, and to your absolute amazement...they felt the same way about you...

I agree with Eumenides. I think it's different for everyone. I always hope when the time comes, I will just know. A feeling inside, you just can't express into words.

You know it when you realize that if you so much as let your eyes linger on another person that your lover's gonna try and charge you with adultry. Now that's love.

I think that if they tell you their middle name, there's a distinct possibility that they are "the one".

I'll let you know when that happens.

Lately, I haven't trusted my heart too terribly much.

Or you can just ask someone who's already found "the one" and not a single bum like myself...just a suggestion

I have been trying to express myself with words...for days, weeks now. And I just can't describe this feeling. Everytime I open my mouth or place pen to paper I get flustered. Nothing is good enough. I mean really..this man doesn't even like the rain.

Then you'll hold the umbrella over him while he feels no guilt in letting you rejoice in it. Sounds perfect to me. :)

Someone recently told me about Celtic wisdom and the concept of Anam Cara, which is Gaelic for "soul friend," or soulmate. If anyone has ever experienced it, they will agree completely with this: (The link is at the page bottom)

Anam Cara
According to the Celtic wisdom, our souls begin their journey together as one clay being that becomes broken apart.
Through this, two souls emerge and move on into their journeys.
Throughout time, we seek to rejoin our Soulmate that was created as our perfect match.

This is dedicated to the power of two souls finding their way into each others realm again.

Love with a Soulmate is never ridden with jealousy or anger.
Between the two Souls, there is a world of understanding that often does not even need to be shared through spoken word. Soulmates can even reach a level of psychic communicate.
Physical union of the souls reaches heights of awareness beyond common intimacy. Sharing each others body becomes exactly that "Sharing". Mutual love and satisfaction can be achieved with this mate to your Soul.

Anam Cara is the Celtic word for "Soul Friend", and throughout our lifetimes we search for people who are our Anam Cara.
Often we find relevant qualities in others that make us believe our Anam Cara is also our Soulmate.
Truly touching the Soul of another and sharing allows us to become Anam Cara.
This is a level that can be reached with people you mentor, revere, need, or enjoy in your life.
Your Soulmate reaches beyond the Soul sharing of Anam Cara, and becomes a state of completion between the two Souls.

The search should never be rushed or sought after; for in desperation you may overlook and rush past the very Soul that is your match.
Do not worry that your lifepath seems to be leading you astray, for sometimes that is exactly the place you will find your Soulmate.
Adversity to your Soul can create openings that allow your Soulmate to find you through, and thus allow the two Souls to join together.
Tumultuous times and periods of adversity often lead to enlightenment, and new beginnings.

When you meet your soul mate, this person will have an immediate affect on you. A Soul Mate is someone who makes your knees go weak and you will want to catch your breath. With a single glance they lessen your burden and a smile warms your heart. You will feel a connection with this person. They will touch you so deeply on so many levels, you will want to share your inner most secrets. Once you have met your Soul Mate your life will never be the same. The one thing, which makes this unique, is the sense of a significant spiritual experience.

I knew it was love when she pushed me out of the way and took over my video game.

I knew it was love when I farted once, and she said "Is that the best you can do?"

I knew it was love when she wanted to chase other women together.

Oh Miles,

That makes me cry for what I know I will never have. It was beautiful, though.

Never say never. That's when it happens.

I always thought that it happened when you do say never and all hope seems to be lost (or at least that's how all the movies go)

Never is when you're stuck in a loveless marriage, with no hope of ever getting out.......a sick child who makes you want to stay......but I always have friends!!
