How do you get a reply from Admin?

I have asked the admins a question THREE times and I am bloody annoyed they have ignored each email. Are they usually this shite?

Did you email or PM? Questions on stories PM to Laurel, not email. Site problems send to Manu. I've been told they respond promptly to PM's.

They are quite busy with a contest right now. So....that might have an effect.

Are you hoping they'll delete your account?

If so, you've already done the majority of the work by editing your posts and profile, and all that's left is to log out, clear your cookies (and maybe temp internet files/cache and history), close your browser, and never coming back to Lit.

If you want to delete stories/poetry from the main site, you go through the submitting process putting the exact title of your story in the Title field, but adding "REMOVE" at the end of the title and putting a note in the Note section explaining you want your story to be removed from the site. It'll likely be removed fairly quickly.

If it's something else, and you do PM Laurel or Manu, I'd suggest a POLITE approach. You catch more flies with honey than vinegar, and all that.

What makes your problem any more urgent and important than any of theother 800,000+ members?

Also as MJ noted, e-mail is the worst possible way of trying to reach them -- all of the "contact us" addresses are prime spam targets, and the last time I heard from Laurel, she was dealing with over 100,000 SPAM e-mails a day.

SweetErika covered most of the possibilities, except to note that it takes a VERY good reason for them to do more than blank you account -- which you've already apparently done -- because deleteing your account completely screws up the story side of the site by putting some author's member numbers out of synch with the member number their stories are linked to.

I have never understood how we can unlearn anything!

You can delete your posts to 5 characters, you can remove the information in your profile, but after 2 years of finding your way in here, how can you unlearn how you get in?

Or is it possible to unlearn those things, good or bad, that you learned about yourself or about other people?

Or about the world, your country, humanity (or the lack of it), the universe, sex?

We can move on in life, we can live or die, but the knowledge we learn day by day or minute by minute, affects every thought, word and deed, we can't escape it, we can't avoid it, so yell or not, scream and shout or not, shake your fist at the monitor or the sky, everything from this moment on is affected by everything you've read on this site.

Now when anyone reads this far through this post, they may not understand it all fully, but they've just been exposed to a philosophy that can be as profound as any they'll ever read, or as profane, all depending on their point of view!
