How do you 'calm' yourself down when writing a story?

Write in public, where you can’t instantly relive yourself

I have this problem too sometimes, but I get most of my writing done on my train ride to work or on my lunch break, I usually save the sex scenes for when I get home but not being able to be easily “distracted” helps me be productive.

I keep both hands on the keyboard.

I totally agree. for me, though, the trouble is that when I write when I'm really aroused, I think that the writing is a lot hotter than it really is. I look at it later and wonder, "What was I thinking?"

Not sure I can relate very well. Mostly I get excited when I'm sketching out the idea before I add dialogue, etc. And after the story is over and published 'here' on Lit....well, I get aroused when women write me and say something about hitting the right button (SMILE).

A few years back, I spent the weekend alone writing naked.....kept the little guy hard most of the weekend.

Then more recently a couple of mature women have written in PM in more detail about how my stories 'got them off'......>>THAT got to me! SMILE

If it gets really intense I'll stop and masturbate. Afterward, I'm usually able to refocus and get back to writing.

It's funny, but sometimes when I'm writing it's very clinical and I can sit down and write a story from beginning to end in one or two sessions. Other times there seems to be some personal connection, importance attached to the story (whether I realize it or not) and I become emotionally and/or sexually aroused and have to relieve the tension. This could happen multiple times during a writing session, and it usually takes me forever to get the story written and finished.

Have also noticed that when I go back and re-read the story months, years later I often experience that same physical/sexual tension that I had when I first wrote the story.
